Max Fitness My daughter who has rheuamoid arthritis joined Max Fitness with the assurance she could cancel her membership with a note from her doctor. Now they refuse to let her cancel Columbus , Georgia

My daughter who is 20 years old, joined Max Fitness.  The man signing her up asked her if she had a disability.  She said yes, she had RA and did not want to join if it could not help her or if she began to hurt.  This associate told her, "No problem"  "Just bring in a note from your doctor and you can cancel the membership".  She brought them a note from her rheumatologist.  She was in so much pain.  She needed something low impact like swimming or water areobics.  Now they refuse to let her cancel.  She has moved home with me.  We are 40 miles from the nearest Max Fitness.  WARNING TO ANYONE IN THIS SITUATION!  Get somethinig very detailed in writing from the person signing you up.  Because they have NO intention of letting you out of your contract!  I guess my daughters $30.00 a month (that she can NOT use) is somehow having a huge financial impact on their business.  I would not refer my worst enemy to Max Fitness!
