Firstly the amount quoted is not the price of a Past Life Regression session either with me or anyone in the clinic. So this doesn't ring true from the get-go!

Secondly, having worked with the Ontario Government - with a lobbyist - last summer to set the guidelines for hypnotism in Ontario, we know it is now legal.

Thirdly, if the person had said at the time of treatment that they were not happy with the service they received we would have done something about it.

Most importantly, I have never, ever claimed to be a medical doctor. In all of our literature I am shown as having received my doctorate in metaphysical counselling.

For 11 years of running the school and clinic, I have worked alongside the medical and wellness community - including doing Grand Rounds in hospital for doctors in the psychiatric department and receiving many referrals from the medical community..

I have won many awards as a teacher of hypnosis, and the CBC has broadcast a series from our clinic, we have also written the ethical standard for other practtioners - so for us to be called unethical is insulting and libellous.

We also give back to the community in many ways as many of our students and clients will attest. In addition a great portion of our clients and students come through referrals.

I would like the writer to the right thing and remove this, it's just not true! And to contact me to let us know what they believe went wrong.

Dr. Georgina Cannon IS SHE A REALLY A DOCTOR??? Protect yourself from "quacks" that, unfortunately, are so abundant in the field of hypnosis.

BEWARE of trainers with a Ph.D. from institutions that you never heard of.

What is the purpose of this Rebuttal? To make you aware of my experience with Dr. Georgina Cannon and the Ontario Hypnosis Centre. “Learn Hypnosis the ethical, practical way, from the award winner Instructor of the Year.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
The training was to take place at Ryerson University and would be instructed by Dr. Georgina Cannon. I am unemployed and invested some of my last savings into this training hoping for a good review of Hypnosis, I had studied Psychology and Hypnosis in the past and soon realized that unfortunately the training that was offered was not what I would call award winning. I felt hood winked to find out that even though the training was at Ryerson University they appear to have no affiliation to the school, and they apparently just rent a room within the University.   
Dr. Georgina Cannon? There are many "institutions" that provide people with Ph.D.s, M.A.s, etc. that are not accredited by any governing body in regards to what standards their graduates must meet to be licensed mental-health professionals. While this might be acceptable for many trades, medical and mental-health professions should have strict regulation to ensure the quality of care you are receiving!  I found out after that Dr. Georgina Cannon is a Doctor of Metaphysical Counselling!!

The training style was very top down, I was criticized and condemned during the training for questioning, how in a three weekend course (yes in 3 weekends with little or no prerequisites you can have a Professional Hypnosis Certification for the cost of $1,750.00) a Lay person can be qualified to be working on not just habits and behaviours but Dr. Georgina Cannon also wanted us to work on the clients identity level. When I questioned this I was told that “whatever you have learned in the past you can leave at the door.”

Another person in the class that had moved here from Mexico was having some problems understanding the training, Dr. Georgina Cannon looked at him and said “do you know anything about the  Chakra System” which he replied “no”  she then told him that “your problem is your third eye chakra is closed.” I later sat down with this student during a few breaks and helped him rewrite his notes and helped him get a better understanding of hypnosis.

I think you get the idea this was not award winning training and my list is very, very long on how unsatisfactory the training was. I was looked down at for asking questions and constantly interrupted when working with other students, to the point where I felt harassed, unwanted and unwelcome by Dr. Georgina Cannon and her assistant. After these unnecessary, unwarranted disrespectful actions I left the class early and asked for my money back.
  
I was told that I could not receive a full or even parcel refund, a policy that Dr. Georgina Cannon has put into place and one that she could easy take action to resolve, but instead is putting more unnecessary stress into my life. It seems that she has made money her god, thus leaving me without award winning training and without my money to engage in other activities. I feel sorry for Dr. Georgina Cannon; as the saying goes "What becomes of this person? Indeed, one becomes good by good action and bad by bad action."

Georgina , Either you are not aware or dont wish to be aware of the fact that, many of your so called students do actually charge 150$ -300$ in downtown Toronto claiming to be past life and hypnotherapists trained under yourself. I have witnessed thier certificates and couldnt help but laugh.It matters less if you charge more in the range of 500$ doesnt help the facts. I wish to re clarify my statement , Hypnotherapy is "legal" yes you are correct but , it is no where near what you are trying to claim as. Hypnotherapy is a new con scam used to decieve and fool people but to some extent allow an individuals own mind to birng up memories but thats all- in contrast to - true clinical hypnotism of which you have no qualifications or training ever! Now this may also irritate you that , I myself am also a Doctor of metaphysics from Univ of Sedona. I am also a ex Medical Doctor and alternative Doctor engaged in practice.I am an staunch believer of "true hypnotism" and I can garuntee that you dont know or practice any of the real stuff... Georgina, Hypnotism or past life therapy is not about serving beer or food and bieng unhappy?! an client can either by hypnotised genuinely and taken back to a state beyond his current life or he cannot be. There is no hypnotism where we actually are aware of everything :-) like it happened with me personally also when I went in for this idiotic lady hypnotherapist-your student in London(Ont), I could hear next door neighbours talking, upstairs shaking, her steam kettle and then she claimed I was hypnotised. I couldnt help laugh! Georgina , have you ever been under real hypnotism? I doubt. I have been and you know who did it for me when I was young? Dr.Ray Moody, if you ever heard of him? Kindly dont bull shit people with dubious practices. Its perfectly fine for you to be a Dr of Metaphysics but make sure its clearly expressed. Youre Dr Title is not the debate but rather what you profess to teach. claim as hypnotherapy and any true Doctor of Clinical Hypnotherapy would love to close your school down believe me. Again Georgina, I am bringing to your fact and I am sorry if you dont get the point. Let me explain to ROR and public- PLR- Past life regression therapy is practiced now for over 80 years world wide. PLR- means...inducing a state of extreme hypnosis and the subjects minds goes into a deep trance and he/she "certainly" is not aware of things happeneing around him, may reveal facts unknown ot itself, come out with an memory,speak in tongues,speak of places and events all under the trance state this in genuine hypnotism is known as - Deep induced trance and not the bogus fake counting 20-1 backwards over some stupid music playing ...this is whats the scam is about. Do you know the funny part - I myself wrote you an letter of complaint and even tried to be a client but you never responded and I am going to reproduce that same email on here if you wish. Tel people clearly "you dont practice true clinical hypnotism which is trance induction methods to reveal all facts but rather "Client based auto hypnotism where the client allows a mediator (you) to allow them some flashes from the past or future and it may suceed or not... "TRUE HYPNOTISM EITHER WORKS OR DOESNT" Youre a teacher of Hypnosis? well I dont wish to debate or bring you down but what hypnosis? who taught you true hypnosis? I have encountered the so called youtube famous people engaged in PLR and after having my 4004 ripped I can prove they were genuine FAKES! May i approach your clinic and you the hypnosis teacher with myself and others who know about genuine hypnotism at your clinic? I did require true PLR but was ripped. but, know well that I do come fully educated and a past follower of mesmer. On your books/Cds/website it has DR. Georgina Cannon written all over it and it doesn’t say anything about metaphysical counselling behind your name or under your name. Stop trying to fool people into thinking you are something you are not and stop fooling yourself.

I would be very interested to find out how The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario would react to your claims that you are “doing Grand Rounds in hospital for doctors in the psychiatric department” Somehow this doesn’t ring true for me that a “DR.” of metaphysical counselling is doing rounds in a hospital for doctors!!  Which hospital would allow an unqualified person to do the rounds for the doctors???

Yes, the CBC does a lot of broadcast (for entertainment purposes only) I remember well. Mr. Dressup, The Friendly Giant, Dr. Zonk and the BBC Dr.WHO, F.Y.I. The Friendly Giant was not a real Giant and Dr. Zonk & Dr. WHO are not real Doctors! It was all for entertainment purposes only.

 I was a student and I can NOT attest to that! How do you define: giving back? - If giving back is taking money from people and buying something for yourself in the community, then maybe you are giving back! But who is benefiting?

STOP Hoodwinking People!!! I think that you have been telling yourself this B.S. so long that you believe it....Take a long hard look in the mirror and think about the harm you are causing others.
