$10,000 may seem a lot of money to most but, it is not considering the cost of treating these diseases. Did you expect a resort hotel retreat? Do you really think it matters how the conditions are? It's either that or the gutter or dead, which is where most drug abusers end up. Might as well get used to it.
All of these programs must overestimate their success rates. The truth is the success rates in all programs, no matter what you paid for it, is lousey. That is because of the adict, not the program. Some get the message early and some late, some never. The former are the strongest of the bunch and it is that strength that saves them, not the program. The latter are the unfortunate ones and were destined to fail when they entered the program. If you cannot tolerate the conditions of the hospice then, maybe your not strong enough to fight off the adiction.
If I found myself with this disease, I would do anything to control it.
Happy to hear she is not using, see it was worth the $10,000. If her success continues then it saved her life.
