I got a cold call from Adair Solar Power Company touting their Go Green Package, a supposedly Federal backed solar package that was available to my family based on credit history, age of home and other criteria.  I met with a representative a few days later who gave us an informative powerpoint about this package that includes solar hot water heater and air duct sealing etc and came with huge rebates in the form of state and federal tax write offs and utility company rebates. However, to pay for this package now they were providing a GE credit loan of around $15,000 with rebates of approx. $10,000 and you were supposed to make up the difference in energy savings. They had the paperwork right there to apply for the loan and sign a contract with them, but had no information on the loan rates/terms or any of these rebate guarantees in writing. When I asked some pointed questions and wanted specifics, the rep had no answers and said he would email me right away. I have heard nothing back and my phone calls to the initial person who called me have not been returned. I would caution anyone who hears this sales pitch to be very wary and do not sign anything from this company unless they can back up their claims. I was also very concerned that I was told many, many times that this package is apart of a federal program and supposedly Adair was handpicked to provide citizens with this valuable energy saving package. I plan on looking into that claim further as well. Beware! I read some other comments about this company and I don't care if they have done good business in the past, or even if the price is valid, my concern is the salesmen did not have any answers and now you can't get ahold of anyone at the company. I feel if you quesiton them, they go into hiding and that is not a company I would like to do business with.
