Air Duct Solutions Sales by lies and intimidation multiple, Florida

We found this company in a full page Clipper ad. We called and made an appoint for an estimate. The person who was to do the estimate called and said he could come until after 7PM. We asked him to wait until the following day. He agreed.

The following day, Tuesday, two guys (one named "Jimmy") finally show up. "Jimmy" enters our condo and tells the other to take a walk. He claims he is here to do the job, not to estimate. He is rude and argumentative. He snaps quick answers. He looks around the living room and asks where the AC is. We show him. He removes one screw and says we have mold and "sanitation." Then he tells us it over $1,000. The lady in the office we called said they used brushes. He yelled at us, "No ne uses brushes, and I know." He shows an old invoice for someone who supposedly paid $1,800.00 as proof of legitimacy.

He then tells us we need a UV light for $700+ and he will throw in a free $350 lifetime filter. I'm sitting at my computer and looking up the cost of what he is showing us. Same brand filter is $49.00  The everywhere and the UV was $129. He shouts at me, "try and buy it for that price. They won't sell to you. It's the internet." He literally kept repeating this.

The whole thing came to close to $2,000. But he would discount it because we were over "50 or 60."  At that point we said we wanted to think about it. He said, that was fine. And then added, I'll go get my equipment and we will get started now." I said, no. He stormed for the door. He tracked mud into condo and om his way out, my wife said, "don't worry about it." His reply was "Lady, I worry about anything."

These folks shouldn't be in business and the Clipper should stop running their ads.
