I received an advertisement for a A/C Tune-Up for $29.00. I scheduled an appointment and they sent out a technician. He reported to me that my A/C coils needed to be acid washed and that the main drain was stopped up. He would attempt to repair this for $250.00 but it could be more! I told him no and sent him on his way.

I then called a company I had used before to come out. They found no problem with my coils, added a small amount of freon and assured me that there was nothing wrong with my A/C unit.

AUTHOR: JACK - GRANITE (U.S.A.)

you should not have let them add freon....this tells me you may have a leak in your lines or system. i would check into the 2nd company to make sure they did not charge you for freon you did not need. you should neaver need to "top off" your system! you dont top off your car with oil and if you do ....theres a leak. see what im telling you? good luck
