According to the companies own terms and conditions, associates who refuse to issue people refunds when they cancel within 10 days of purchase risk being terminated by the company if you contact LLI with their refusal to issue your refund. The associate you you paid, in this case Michael are responsible for giving you back your money.

But, Michael Hamburger is the brother in law of Brent Payne, one of the company co-founders. So this family relationship can probably explain why he feels he can just get away with stalling on you for months without consequence.

By not honoring your refund request you sent him inside of your 10 day grace period, Michael Hamburger has violated Liberty League's own terms and conditions. His brother in law (Brent Payne) and Shane Krider got hit with a $115,000 fine in Arizona by the Attorney General in 2006 because of a bunch of former associates complaining about similar things. So just stop waiting around for this idiot to do something about your refund, and instead pick up the phone and call the Arizona Attorney General about it right away. But do send Michael a quick email telling him that you just found out about these lawsuits below, that you can prove with emails and receipts that he is in violation of the 10 day refund policy LLI has in place, and that you will contact the Arizona Attorney General about since he's been stalling on you for months now. I'm sure he'll take you more serious this time after you tell him that. Do not let him convince you not to contact the Attorney General. If he tries, then you demand that he overnight you a cashiers check and send you the tracking number, just like he has people to when they buy a course from him with a check. Don't take any more BS from him.

Michael lives in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Same town as his bother in law and co-founder Brent Payne, and where Liberty League's headquarters are. You waited too long to do something about it. Most banks and financial institutions have a 60 day period where you can file charge backs against things like this. But you waited around too long on this idiot's word that he'd get back to you about it and never did. Your best course of action now is to go straight to the Arizona Attorney General with it and tell Hamburger that you are doing it to get him to react. I hope you still have copies of the emails you sent Michael about your cancellation. Print them out, and highlight the dates as proof that you canceled with Michael well within your 10 day period if they ask you for proof. Give the attorney general a copy of your receipt when you sent back the Beyond Freedom course to the company also with the date highlighted.

Gather together any other stuff you have that can prove you canceled before 10 days of your purchase, and that Michael knew about it (like a dated reply email from him back to you would be perfect because this would prove that Michael was well aware of your refund before the 10 days was up, yet has not given you back your money). If you have this stuff emails, receipts, etc, Michael is going to have to give you your money back weather he wants to or not. The Arizona Attorney General should be well aware that Liberty League does indeed have a 10 day grace period for refunds. You by their own policy are entitled to a full refund.

Just go straight to the Arizona Attorney General, and just shoot Michael a quick email telling him you just found bout about these and that you're taking it up with the Arizona Attorney General with copies of Liberty League's policy where is says you have 10 days to cancel for a full refund, your emails as proof, etc.

I just went back and reviewed their cancel notice. Looks like they have made changes since. In some of the court documents I've seen, LLI said people had to go through the associate that they paid for the refund, because they are the ones who took your payment, kept their 1,000 profit out of it (for BF sales), and fowarded the rest to the company to drop ship you the course. So LLI was saying that you had to deal with the associate directly, because the company never took your money directly. LLI used this to their defense in one of the above court documents.

Now LLI says you have to email, fax, or write to the Liberty League headquaters directly within 10 days of getting your beyond freedom. It no longer says you have to go through the associate directly yourself. But LLI never mentions anywhere if you are supposed to get the full $1,495 back or just the $495 retail cost you advisor sent them for BF. I believe the only thing they are refund back is the wholesale costs ($495 for beyond freedom) not the remaining $1,000 that Michael took out of your $1,495 payment and stuck in his pocket as his profit off you. LLI does not specify if you get the wholesale or full retail price back.

Beyond Freedom Buyers Right to Cancel Notice:

"You may cancel this transaction, without penalty, or obligation, at any time within refund time frame (see chart for details) days from the day you receive the product. If you elect to cancel this transaction, you will be required to return the product within ten (10) calendar days. You must return, in substantially the same condition as when received, any and all goods and products delivered to you under this Application and Agreement; or you may, if you so desire, comply with the instructions of Liberty League International, L.L.C. concerning the manner and timing of returning to Liberty League International, L.L.C. or its designee all of the goods and products. If you fail to make goods available to Liberty League International, L.L.C. or its designee, then you shall remain liable and responsible for the full and faithful performance of all obligations under this Application and Agreement as well as any other agreement relevant to the transactions between you and Liberty League International, L.L.C. To cancel this transaction, written notification must be sent to Liberty League International at its principal business address. Written notification can be accepted via e-mail, fax or letter. The notification must be postmarked within the cancellation policy time frame. Buyers refund time frame (see chart for details) day right to cancel for the Beyond Freedom product begins the day you receive the product."

For US buyers, the Liberty and Summit tickets only have a 3 day return policy, not 10 like the Beyond Freedom Course.

Unfortunately, it took me 3 months before I realized that if I was going to be successful with this company, it would be at the expense and suffering of other people. 3 months is a lot longer than the 3 days I had to get my money back - almost no one can figure it out that fast as they've got stars and dollar signs in their eyes.

Of course once I realized this and talked to my advisor to recoup any of my funds, someone who I even had as a trusted friend BEFORE joining LLI, the answer was a resounding no.

Look, these people are either consciously ripping people off or they just DO NOT GET IT and are COMPLETELY BRAINWASHED! How on earth can they sleep at night?

God, I hope people who have yet to get involved are reading this. Save yourself months or years of heartache and STAY FAR AWAY FROM LIBERTY LEAGUE INTERNAIONAL!
