On January 25, 2005 I sent a check for $49.75 to "National Home Assemblers", PO Box 201, Mainesburg, PA 16932. I still have not heard from them- February 22, 2005 so I called the phone number on the bottom of their flier, expecting to get a reason why my order had not been completed. The phone has been disconnected.

This advertisement was in our local "free" newspaper. It was for home assembly of refrigerator magnets. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and trying to get out the word to anyone who responds to this add- it's a scam. Hope this helps someone else who may think it sounds like a good idea.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

You got doubly scammed

AUTHOR: Bob - Quinlan (U.S.A.)

According to a few newspaper reports, the other 30,000 people who got scammed only had to pay about $38, so they got almost an extra $12 out of you.

Lets do the math at the lower lever, $38 times 30,000 equals about a one point one million. Gone, poof, out the back jack, makin a new plan sam, etc.

I don't mean to make light of your circumstances, only a vain attempt at a little humor and maybe a smile.

Maybe somebody should find out who these people are and instead of a good ole barn raising, we'll have a quicky house demolishin'.

I'm with ya.

Singed,

Peeved, pooped, tuckered out, and just plain irate.
