Optionetics personal mentoring NOT! Redwood City California

I originally signed up for the Optionetics home study course after attending an afternoon presentation. I was able to get the course for half price since was partnering with another Optionetics student. I thought it was a good introduction to options trading.
After a six month period of continual loses in the market I was contacted by Optionetics. They told me they were looking for highly motivated people for a limited enrollment personal mentoring program. They asked me a series of questions. The next day I was contacted by a coordinator who said I was eligible to join the personal mentoring program.
I was ready for something new, I wanted to find out why I was not profitable and how to change.
I was not contacted by my personal mentor until the first session. Since he rarely checked his emails, it was always hard to contact him.
There were nine 50 minute sessions. I had received a 150 page manual for the course. The sessions were spent covering the chapters as quickly as possible.
I guess I missed the part where it was "personal mentoring". I think he forgot who I was from one session to another. There was no give and take. It didn't seem like much of mentoring process.
The information presented was fairly basic, not much different than that presented in the home study course.
The mentoring class cost almost $5000! Not much bang for the buck! It's a very poor value. The money would be better used in your trading account.
I've studied at home, probably bought $500 worth of books. These have covered options trading from the very basic to the very complex. This has been money well spent.
One other thing---Optionetics is always trying to sell you something else. The hope is that one more class will really help. They also have software, DVDs, Platinum and partnered software like ProfitSource that cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. The sales pitches are embedded in the study materials.
Everything Optionetics teaches can be found online free or for little $$$. Save your money for trading, these guys will take your money as long as you keep giving it to them.
