Phoenix Group Financial Manager Job Online Auctions Brooklyn, New York

This company located my resume on careerbuilder.com and stated that my experience was perfect for the financial manger job with Phoenix Group, Inc.  They had me fill out an online application, sign a 6 page agreement, provide proof of residence/ID and give them bank account information with access to my online banking info.  I gave them only access to view with a separate user ID and password from my primary banking account. I attempted to use my debit card at a restaurant and it was declined; strange as I had enough money in the account to cover the cost of the meal.  I called my bank and they stated the account had been closed due to fraudulent activity.  I asked them what sort of fraudulent activity and they explained the following...they asked had a recently applied for a work at home job and I stated, yes.  They then stated that the funds that were supposedly from an online auction and that I was to take cash out of my account that they deposited and wire to the seller were in fact stolen funds both in the US and abroad.  The stolen funds were reported by the victim and their bank traced/tracked the funds to my account.  The funds never actually entered my account as my bank caught onto their scam.  My bank closed my account and I never lost any money.  Stay far far away from this company.
