we called this company for information only, they would not give any information unless they got a credit card number. they were told not to ship anything except free information. we then recieved a membership kit and apparently a box of samples and we found a charge on our credit card for $499.95 from them. this charge was not authorized since we only reguested free information.

we have contacted them twice and insist they will not give us a refund unless we pay to ship the stuff back.

why should we have to pay to return something we did not want to start with?

the phone number they have is a long line of sales pitches and take at least fifteen minutes to get a person to talk to. the representatives are rude and will only tell you that they can only follow thier rules. apparently they dont have any supervisors that will talk to anybody.

they also state the they only want a credit card number for "verification" purposes only. dont ever give them any credit information.

Red Flags

AUTHOR: Peter - Pony (U.S.A.)

Didn't it raise a few "red flags" when you were asked to give your credit card number to receive supposedly free information?

Why would you, as a responsible consumer, not find this as odd and proceed with giving out your credit card number?

Obviously, something that is truly free should not require one to give out one's credit card number. Think about it ..
