Kmart this is in regards to a friend, who has been with kmart for 31 years and was fired by a so called manager who abused his power. The person fired was a loyal employee who now has lost his insurance benefits all of his sick time and vacation time. This manager made up lies and is able to get away with it, he also just fired six other people. Why do corportations let people get away with such actio Lafayette Indiana

I know of an employee who has been with kmart for 31 years as a full time employee. He was fired because of a so called manager who was abusive. This person did not always get a lunch or break sometimes, this manager also just fired six more people. Why does the corp office not check into this managers behavior. Doesn't the fact that this person had been with the company for 31 years, now new manager comes along and this employee is so bad he needs to be fired. I think someone higher should be checking this situation out. No wonder stores end up getting closed. This employee who was a loyal employee to Kmart, has not only lost his job, but his insurance, his vacation days and sick days. The company apparently does not care about loyal employees. This manager embarassed him in front of the whole store and customers and he gets away with it. I guess being a good employee for all those years means nothing to the higher ups.

I currently work for Kmart and while there will always that one manager/employee that will try to abuse their power occasionally, I find it hard to believe they would just fire a 30 year employee without serious cause.
What exactly did this person do to get fired?
