Ridgid - Home Depot Ridgid lied to consumers about their lifetime warranty Internet

The only reason I bought a Ridgid power drill for 300 dollars instead of another brand for 50, was because of the lifetime warranty. It wasn't 6 months down the road when I find out they cancelled that program, and in effect even cancelled their promise to everyone they sold tools to. I have read many other peoples complaints about this, so I won't bore you. What I would like to do, is see if I can get enough of a response to proceed with a class action lawsuit against Ridgid, and also Home Depot as they own Ridgid, and are responsible for providing their clerks with the false information about a lifetime warranty with a battery exchange box right in their store, that disappeared a few months after this so called lifetime warranty was offered. It is time to send a clear message to corporate America that they will pay for their transgressions.

I, too, have experienced the disappointment of the LSA promoted by Home Depot on behalf of Ridgid tools. I have always used 'Contractor Grade' tools previously; but, was lulled into a False Sense Of Security with what seemed to be a legit Lifetime Warranty. IT IS BOGUS !!
I won't go into extended details, and also realize that the only individuals that 'profit' from Class Action Litigation are the attorneys; HOWEVER, Ridgid & Home Depot need to be taught a lesson.
I would be more than happy to participate as a Plaintiff in a Class Action suit as a result of their [BOGUS] Lifetime Agreement. Someone merely needs to tell me "where to sign" ....

The current ridge warranty on drills is a life time service agreement. For it to work you have to register the tool. If something goes wrong you take your tool and as much info as possible to your local authorized ridge repair center. If there is a problem with the tool that is not wear and tear they will fix it.
I deal with people who use ridge tool all the time and most people and happy with their performance.
