Today's Furniture Dishonest, did not deliver, rude, completely unprofessional Santa Clara, California

This store is completely dishonest with a rude staff and no ethics.

I bought a dining table from this shop on Sep-7-2009 and paid a total of $470 for the table and delivery. The person over there said it would be delivered latest by Sep-15. After that we had to keep calling the shop every week and the delivery date was pushed out by a week every time. Finally after another delay and this time for a month - I cancelled the order on Nov-3 and told them that I would be collecting my refund on Saturday - Nov-7.

I went there today and the person working over there refused to pay my refund - saying that the owner had not come and I would have to come in the week to get the refund. After arguing for more than 30 minutes that person conceded and provided me a check for the amount. He initially mentioned that he will not give refund for shipping and I had to argue for another 15 mins that since delivery was never made - I should be provided the entire refund.

After that the person gave the check for the entire amount - but then refused to provide back the copy of receipt that I had. After telling him to mark it as cancelled and give it to me - he still refused to give me that. Then he called the cops and told me to leave the shop. Finally the cops went in and got a copy of the receipt and gave it to me. The person was very dishonest and rude - and trying to avoid giving my money back for the entire time.
