Aspen Roofing Con Job

Attention all prospective customers looking to re-roof their homes. This report is being filed to help prevent you from being ripped off too.

Aspen roofing was contracted on 5/24/99 to re-roof our house. They were given a very lenient deadline to complete the work of 10/15/99. They promised to find the color we wanted and time went by with no results. They claimed they had no record of our contract when we addressed the issue. After we provided a copy, they said they would find the shingles and get the job done. More time went by and soon the deadline came and went. The contract automatically cancelled on 10/15/99 after which we demenaded our deposit back plus interest. We filed our complaint with as many agencies as we could find all to no avail or response from Aspen Roofing. Only after filing a complaint with the Attorney General did they respond, only to make more promises, all to no avail.

My advise is DO NOT put any deposit of any kind down with these people, then you will be out nothing. My advise is also to post as many complaints as possible against any fraudulent firms and reduce the scams these people are pulling. Only by your support and efforts can we make these businesses do business in a businesslike way.
