Tim Voorkamp owns Weatherguard Exteriors in Corpus and was hired to install Hurricane Shutters on my home. The work quality was horrible and they damaged my home during the install. Tim Voorkamp said he would come out to look at my complaints but instead sent the guy who did it.

They ended up picking up their materials and I had to pay to have the studs removed and holes patched. Voorkamp refused to return any subsequent phone calls to him. He is now back to real estate with RE/MAX Properties in Corpus.

I think the guy is just a crook who has no integrity. Unfortunately, my real estate agent with RE/MAX referred me to him. His partner's name is Paul Dennon although he now denys that he and Voorkamp were partners in this business. Who knows what the real truth is. My advice is to stay away from these guys for any transactions.

Ok how about this when referencing an angry customer...

Mr. Voorkamp, how about when you rebuttal someone about work quality you address the specific incident instead of this cut-and-paste garbage. I'll tell you now from what I've read here I'm 100% going to find another company to do my Hurricane shutters you bunch of crooks. How about a little integrity.

Anyways, thought my interjection as a third-party looking in would help a hair.

The rebuttal from Weather Guard looks about as good as their work was, like a 5th grader did it.  If you have any doubt about this company I would contact the BBB of Corpus Christi.  Voorkamp used to be a member until he had multiple complaints filed against Weather Guard and was subsequently kicked out for not answering the complaints.  If there is a doubt about how long this company has been in business go to Nueces County as I did to find this information.  When they did my shutter installation they had been in business 4 months (2006) and had "trained" under another shutter company for a week according to what I was told by a REPUTABLE shutter company on the Island.  Also note that Voorkamp is being sued in Nueces County for this job and has yet to respond to the filing and a summary judgement is being sought.  My opinon is to stay away from anything to do with Voorkamp or Paul Dennon.  There are other reputable companies that have truly been in business for decades and are not looking to rip anyone off.

Voorkamp History of a Con-Man

A legal beagle friend pointed out this site and the current discussions concerning Mr. Voorkamp. We had quite a bad experience with him years ago when he was a salesman in the car business, with Vista Chevrolet, Toyota, etc, then the Champion Group. It seems he had so many problems, lawsuits and investigations into his un-ethical and inappropriate conduct that he was required to find another profession as he was too much of a liability for any car dealer to employ him. When down payments are missing, promises not kept, not to mention unproven criminal activities and charges that's simply to much heat even for car dealerships. He has been a very slippery character since the early 90's. This latest fiasco is just another chapter in a long story of dishonest dealings of a self serving un-ethical individual. I worked for people who pursued him for legal remedies and re-imbursements to no good end, as it was later determined at the time a judgement against him would be worthless as he was a fringe individual and undetectable on paper. Hopefully you will prevail against this predatory person. In the olden days they ran fellas such as this out of town or worse, dealt with them.

Apparently, Mr. Voorkamp has now resorted to other DBA names for this company.  I have been told that he is also doing business as Window Guard of Texas as well as Tavco and Tavre, Inc.  Records are probably in file with Nueces County.
