Tyler Home Inspections Inc This home inspector missed over $20,000 in foundation work. Their website claims they do in depth inspections but they never bothered to crawl under my home to inspect the foundation. They then told me It was too bad and I could go ahead and sue them. Liverpool New York

I hired this home inspector to do an inspection of an existing home we wanted to buy. He ran around the home and did not even bother to crawl under the home to check the foundation. We later discovered that part of the home was sinking due to a bad foundation.

I have had multiple contractors out to asses the damage and recommend repairs. All of the estimates have come in between 20 and 30 thousand dollars! Every one has asked me if the home was inspected and cannot believe the home inspector missed such an obvious defect. They just shake their heads in disgust.

During the inspection I questioned the inspector about some doors that would not open and the sloping floor. He told me it was just settling and the doors could be adjusted. When later confronted about the missed foundation problem the inspector in so many words told me he was insured and to go ahead and sue him. With 20K in repairs and three young children I cannot afford to hire an attorney. I just do not want to see anyone else get ripped off by this company.
