Buyer Beware of Newport Holdings Inc. Read these reports and know what you are getting yourself into before you ever purchase a house from Newport Holdings.
I have been warned verbally and read other rip off reports regarding Martin and Jared at Newport Holdings and didnt think a few reports had any bearing on my decision. WRONG ! I should have taken the warnings seriously and moved somewhere else.
First of all, I have YET to make my first payment on the house and already have the following issues :
I have NOT used the dishwasher yet and it already broke. When you try to call the builder, owner, Martin or Jared....they dont answer their phones. You are entitled to leave a message and you might be lucky if they call you back. When I did hear from Martin, he told me that he could not help me on my dishwasher and to handle it myself with GE.
The wood floors are coming up, they are not secure on the floor. I should know because I tripped over it when I was exiting my kitchen.
Not to mention the nasty, threatening notes put on my front door regarding my dish being put in the wrong spot. And I was told that IF I do not get someone to move it, Jared will have it REMOVED for me.
Trash...well, let me talk about the trash around the place. Trash is EVERYWHERE. Nails, coke bottles, gaterade bottles, old and dried up cement everywhere, papers, garbage....everywhere. I am constantly picking up trash that is DUMPED in my front yard.
When I moved in, trash all over my garage. When I went outside to my patio, trash left outside. I was obligated to clean up their own mess. And believe me, it was little. It was ALOT.
Not to mention the hose that Martin asked if he could borrow that he NEVER returned. Its all the principal of it. RETURN IT OR GET YOUR OWN. That has yet to be seen.
I was wearing about signing the papers when I bought this house and now I know why. Now, I'm stuck at a house that does not appeal to me and useless builders, owners that dont care about you.
Stay away from Newport Holdings, Martin and Jared. You will save yourself alot of headache, frustration and anger. You will be throwing your money away just like we all did.
Keep looking if you are on the market. There is something better out there. Newport Holdings is not the place for you.
