APX Alarm. APX Alarm Security Solutions High pressure, misleading sales Provo Utah

Daryl the APX sales guy stopped by my door in the morning, canvassing the neighborhood.
The tactics used were pretty typical for a very-high-pressure sales pitch, but there were a few notable red flags:
- He didn't want to let me physically hold the contracts I was about to sign and read them myself. He said "It's just what I explained to you."
- Although I told him very early in the sales process there was no way he was leaving my house today with any of my credit card numbers, he continued with the pitch and even called his install crew over to add extra pressure; I had "let them down and wasted their time."
- Actually revealing his install crew was a pretty bad idea because I'm not sure why I would want a bunch of mid-high-school students with tool buckets wandering my house installing an alarm system.
- The kicker was that the document he wanted me to sign said very clearly "This is a *FIVE YEAR* contract." But he had NOT said that to me. What he said was "this contract indicates that the monthly monitoring pricing remains constant for the first 60 months, *and then you can negotiate it down.*" So he was using the word 'monthly' to describe a five-year commitment, and making a total BS implication that my pricing might go down after five years? ha!
What truly sealed the issue in my mind that this is just a con and not a company which really values a relationship with the customer was as he was preparing to leave and I asked "do you have a card?" He said "Not a Chance!" and turned his back on me and strutted down the driveway.
Any reasonable company would want to leave the door open and not leave me thinking that after he did such a good job convincing me it really is about time to get an alarm system, it sure won't be from APX.

How can you state that the contract was a 5 year contract and that the sales guy lied to you saying that it was a 60 month. 60 divided by 12 is 5. hmmm.... seems like 5 years to anybody who went to school.
