On July 7th, 2007 a salesman came to our opened door and began speaking to us about APX Alarm Systems. We had been contemplating getting a system so we listened.

In his sales pitch, he told us that the system wouldn't pick up anything under 40 lbs, so we didn't need to worry about small children or pets setting off the alarm. On the 8th day of service with APX- after 2 false alarms and visits from our local police department, we were informed that the 40 lb limit was incorrect.

For the last 8 days we have been trying to get out of the 5 year contract and have had no luck. The customer service individuals have transferred us all over the place and we get the same answer "There is nothing we can do. If you choose to cancel your service you will owe the balance of $2500.00."

I don't understand how a company can lock you into a 60 month contract with only a 3 day trial period. Three days is not enough time to test a security system!!! I will be contacting the BBB to see if they can help with the termination of our contract.

I would like to join in the class action suit against APX Alarm Systems. Just tell me where to sign up!!!
