I started an agreement with Pinnacle Security system through their agent Jerod Milgrim. Mr. Milgrim was a customer of mine who started his Verizon service with me. I did business with Mr. Milgrim in exchange for his business. In order to pay for his deposit to get service with Verizon, Mr. Milgrim wrote me two checks in the amount of 504.28. When I tried to cash these checks to pay for his deposit through his bank I was told they were not able to be cashed due to NSF's. As of right now I had to pay 504.28 to my company for Mr. Milgrims deposit. Mr. Milgrim also told me the checks would be good on a Saturday when he got his paycheck. However, Mr. Milgrim did not tell me he was moving to another state and changing his phone number on the day before he was going to deposit his paycheck. I know this isn't important to Pinnacle security but it shows how shady thier sales reps are.

Mr. Milgrim also lied to me and told me I had thirty days if I didn't like the service he sold me I would be able to cancel. The contract says I have three days to cancel but he told me it was thirty and not to worry about it. He said any problems i might have he could fix them. I was told that there were changes to thier agreements but not to worry since Jerod would take care of everything. Of course now that his phone number has changed, it would be kindof hard to do that, (not that he would do it anyways). What company only gives a consumer three days to make sure if they like the service? My billing problems, of course, started after the first three days.

I was to get the six months free by using another shady practice against the company which was told to me by thier own sales agent. He told me to try to cancel the service within a week and as a rebuttal to keep me as a customer they would offer me six months free. Of course that never happened.

I have had nothing but billing issues with this company. When I first signed up I was told by Mr. Milgrim I would get 6 months free. I later found out I owed 39.99 right after I signed up. Which was definitely not told to me. That would have been the deal breaker right there. I called and told them I did not want the service since I was not happy after less than a week. They told me that they will only be able to honor 1 month free since their rep was not honest with me. I was not told that this extended my contract another month, too. After the 1st month of having pinnacle security's service I was billed again for 39.99. Even though I had only had pinnacle's service for one month and was supposed to receive one month free I was charged 79.98, two months.

In order to keep this company from taking any more unauthorized withdrawals from my account I had to change my card number. I did not trust this company and no longer wished to do business with them. I also did not want them to negatively impact my credit. I just wanted the contract null and voided. I just sent in my fax to the company canceling my service with them on April 28, 2008. I was told since I am canceling before the three year commitment is up I will owe an estimated amount of 34 months. Well I am sorry Pinnacle but I am not paying you for three years of service for two months. Not happening! Especially since the service was terrible since day one.

I have tried numerous times to cancel with this company and the only thing they tell me is that I am able to cancel, however, I would have to pay the remaining three years of the contract. This amount is roughly 1439.64, I am assuming since I already paid two months my new total would be 1359.66. I do not want to pay this company anymore and would even consider the two months that I paid theirs to keep if they would just cancel my service and take their security system out of the home that I rent, (I was also told my Mr. Milgrim to let the company know that I own my home even though I rent so I can get service with him).

I just want out of this agreement and i have fought with them for about two months now and it has gotten me nowhere. It is not worth your sanity to get involved with this unethical comapny.

I have taken my case to the Better Business Burea in Orem Utah regarding Pinnacle Security. It has taken me about 4-5 months of going back and forth with thier agents concerning my account. After agreeing with the Better Business Bureau to take my case to arbitration, Pinnacle finally let me out of my contract. They have sent my account to collections but have sent me a letter stating they were releasing me from my agreement with them.

If you re unhappy with this company I suggest you do the same thing. I also sent a copy of my complaint to the FTC just for good measure, (I have heard nothing from them though).
I hope you all achieve the same level of serenity that I have concerning this company.

I do not want to make this long, here's a few things:

1). Did you not read the contract before signing? It clearly states you have 3 day's to use the system if your unsatisfied, we will cancel at no cost, though if you do not cancel within the 3 day's you will owe the entire Binding of Contract or up to 75%...

2). If it's not on the contract, sorry we won't adbide to it. After the tech installs the system we do whats called a welcome call. We call you and you HAVE to answer 5 questions, 1 including did the salesrep ot Technician say or is doing anything NOT ON THE CONTRACT? you said no, which means if not on the contract, we won't adbide...

Please read the contracts before signing... Also to let you know Customers should not be angry and stop payments. we can help you, you just need patience. otherwise say goodbye to your credit.
