National Home Protection will not pay to fix my heat pump because i did not fax them maintenance records New York New York

On may 1st 2008 i purchased a home warranty from national home protection for $351 and was told that heat pumps are covered. Well guess what they lied through their teeth, my heat pump died and i contacted them on march 27th 2009 to have it repaired. first of all according to the contract you can contact them 24/7, that's a lie they only answer their phones between 9 and 6 weekdays and 9 to 2 on fridays. Finally i speak to somebody and the first 3 contractors they tell me to call refuse to come to my house because they have been ripped off by national home protection. Then the fourth contractor i contacted i practically had to beg to come here because he had bad dealings with nhp. Now this contractor tells me my heat pump is shot and needs to be replaced so i pay him the $45 copay and he calls nhp to report his findings and they tell him they want maintenance records from me to continue with my claim. I do not have these maintenance records and if nhp would have told me i needed them when i purchased the warranty of course i would have saved them. Now here i sit a week and a half later with no heat in my house, i have filed a dispute with nhp and have yet to hear from them, this is the ultimate rip off. Of course i will report them to the better business bureau and am currently weighing my legal avenues. Needless to say i am very distraught, frustrated and totally angry with nhp, i have been ripped off big time but they have not heard the last of me.
