Nationwide Home Warranty scammed by nationwide home warranty New York nationwide

I chose Nationwide because it was not as expensive as the other companies. If i had only read other customer reviews I would have been spared the headaches and the loss of my hard earned money. It sounded like a great deal! 4 payments of 89.99 and a 50 dollar fee for a licensced contractor who would come out to repair in a 48 hr window - and on top of this great deal they threw in how I did'nt have to wait the usual 30 days if I signed up the same day- I would be covered as soon as I signed up. So, I did. 4 weeks later- I had a problem with my oven. I submitted a claim, told I would receive a call shortly from a contractor. 1 week later ( no call) I call Nationwide- Cust. svc tells me - someone will call me today. 3 days later I call them again, they tell how busy they are- expect a call soon. A week later- irrate I call again- they say noe I am on emergency status. I call 2 days later -they tell me the don't have a contractor that is within a hundred miles of me. I say unacceptabe - I want my money back. They say they don't think so. A week later , by now they have taken 3 of my 89.99 out and find a contractor- Not licensed to come out. He comes out - needs approval to fix- but denied because I don't have a maintenance log? I ask if I had a ceiling fan out would I also need a log? Of course they say. Tells me I have to pay for the oven myself. I ask to speak to her supervisor- she tells me she doesn't have one. Of around the 10 calls made She was the only one to ever answer! 1 man show - I wonder. If anyone has been taken as I have- we really should get together to shut these people down.
