The Aiken & Company, Inc. Insurance and Real Estate is the most irresponsible and unprofessional property management company.

I rented a single-family residential home from them. Of course, I asked if the bills should be tranferred to my name for the time I resided there. Aiken & Co. said the bills should sta in the compny name and they would bill me.

Two days ago, Aiken & Co. accidentally turned off our water. When we called and complained they apologized for their mistake and assured us it would be turned on.

All day we went without a dishwasher, laundry, showers, tooth brushing, Sewage!!! need I say more.

The Aiken staff left their office two days in a row without seeing the problem resolved. My girlfriend, fed up with their failed service, called them on the second morning of being without water. But instead of apologizing for their inferior service and prolonged mistake, the director of the rental properties Shelby Caulder biraded her on the phone. Caulder yelled she was not allowed to be at my home. When my girlfriend demanded to be sent the lease that states I am not allowed to have visitors....Caulder did not answer. She continued to repeat that she would not discuss the issue with my girlfriend and continued to verally bash her. The water remained off for another day as the Caulder woman did not make the effort to remedy her mistake.

Finally, I contacted the water company of Florence that seems to get things done. But after more than 48 hours the water is still not turned on. Aiken & Co's rental property smells of clogged diposers in the kitchen and backed up sewage because of their mistake that they have not fixed.

Aiken & Co. is not a reliable company or one that anyone should go through to rent a home.
