Oakwood Homes Ripoff they lie, cut corners, cheat and decieve everyone Henderson North Carolina

In March of 2002, I bought a brand new double wide home from Oakwood Homes in Henderson, NC. The one I thought I was buying had three bedrooms and an optional pool/game room and they would include the pool table with the sale. Well, that was their first lie... I still don't have the pool table. If I'd known this, I would've just had them make it into a fourth bedroom instead, but the salesman insisted I would get the pool table.
Then came the day they set my double wide on my property. I was present when they set my home and herd a very loud POP when they were backing one section around. I asked the man in charge about that sound and he said it was normal. I told him it sounded like something had broke and I wanted it fixed before they left. He told me he would look into it... lie number two!
The guy from Perferred Housing came out to do a house inspection before I moved in and said everything checked out fine. That was lie number three!! The heat in two bedrooms in the back of the house has never worked since we moved in here, I've had to replace the air conditioning system twice now, and I have to replace the floor in the laundary room area where the air conditioning system is, had to have faulty wiring fixed in my dining room and my entire home has settled as though it were at least 10 years old!!
I have a 5 year old son who gets pneumonia every winter and we are living in a fairly new death trap!! If anyone gets together a class action lawsuit against these lying and decietful jerks, please let me know!!
I have always thought that if a company filed bankruptcy, they could no longer sell under that company name, well, Oakwood Homes still sells under their own name in Henderson, NC. They are selling the same homes business as usual. I stopped in there a couple weeks ago like a new customer off the street. Everything looked the same as when I first went there to buy my home 4 years ago.

I just read your story and I couldn't beleive how close our stories are.I to had to replace the floor in the laundry room and now have to get a new air conditioner since it caught on fire my manufacture defect.We are no longer living in our house but we are still making payments to vanderbilt.We are expecting it to be around $20,000 to $30,000 in smoke damage to get everything back to the way it was.Buying a home from oakwood homes was a huge mistake for me and my wife and we have regreted it since the day we moved in.Buyer beware!!!!!
