Our experience is an almost exact match for the other complaints on Ripoff Report and elsewhere.
Saw a horse advertised by Rocky Ledge on Equine.com. The setup seemed great: little kids, three-legged dog, etc. Assurances that if we bought a horse and he didn't work out we could return easily for credit towards another horse. Assurances that he had Coggins cert and full vet records. On riding the horse seemed sound. Bought horse and Becky delivered him in Vermont. "Forgot" to bring Coggins/records. Promised to fax.
When examined in VT, horse had neurological problem, balance problem in hind quarters. Also underweight and had Lyme disease. Tried to call Becky. No response to many calls and emails. Finally found home number and when child answered got Becky. Assured that all paperwork was being faxed, and that return was easy. That's the last time I actually talked to Becky, in spite of many more calls and emails, and the paperwork never showed up.
We finally decided to start the Lyme treatments, which we've completed, but gave up on returning the horse to Becky, in part because we didn't believe she would treat him properly. He is still unsound. When I wrote that to Becky, pointing out that she had broken the law by selling and transporting without a valid Cogginss test, she wrote an email about how difficult her life had been this year, but didn't offer to in any way fix things, let alone supply the Coggins certificate.
Finally, if anyone has gotten to Becky through Equine.com and been scammed, please write equine.com. If they get a few complaints they say they will take action to get her off their site.
My advice is to steer clear of Becky. She is obviously in the business of paying low prices for horses she knows little about and turning them over quickly. If you do decide to deal with Becky, be sure to 1) have the horse examined by a good vet, 2) be sure to have the Coggins and all paperwork in hand before taking delivery, 3) check the authenticity of any paperwork with the issuer and 4) totally disregard any of her opinions and guarantees. It's a convincing story, but it's not true. And being stuck with an unsound horse is probably not what you're looking for.

I continue to read exactly the same story from horses bought from Becky Acord and Rocky Ledge Stables. I know it's a nuisance, but everyone should followup there experience by reporting these frauds to the state government in charge of these establishments and in charge of enforcing the laws regarding Coggins certificates. They already have a file on Becky and have visited her more than once. I don't know what they can do, but they should be encouraged. Second, report this fraud to Equine.com. That's where we first found her horses listed. I notified Equine.com and they said they could only act if they had a number of complaints. So send Equine.com, or any other website where you find Becky's horses listed, a notice of your fraud. Maybe we can at least cut off the supply of unwitting marks.

Stay away from this horse dealer. Yes that is all she is.
I cant believe she still has horses for sale and the state has not shut her down. The state has many records of her business on file. She didnt even have a license when we purchased a horse and she never gave us a coggins. Sounds as though some of you received a coggins although they were phony. WE NEED TO STOP HER FROM SELLING AND RIPPING OTHERS OFF. She took thousands of dollars from us and then we paid thousands of dollars in vet bills.
