I bought a horse in Gap PA 10-26-08 and Melissa Giambrone hauled my horse for me and we had agreed to let the horse (Misty) stay at Melissa's house because Melissa had offered to work with Misty. I thought Melissa was nice and she also runs a "rescue" in Ohio and i help with fund raiser's for our local rescue in PA. I was planning on helping Melissa with getting fund raiser's together to help feed and care for her rescue animals. So it seemed nice that she offered for misty to stay at her place and work with her. Once Misty came to Melissa's place i went to see her and i realized that she was going to be too small framed for me. Melissa seemed to be in love with misty and had been saying all along that she wanted to buy misty. I agreed to let melissa buy misty and i had seen a rescue horse in her barn that was the size that would work for me, so i ask her if she wanted to trade instead. Melissa agreed to the trade. The horse i was getting in trade was a stallion, so i ask melissa if he could stay at her place until he was gelded because i have a mare at home. Melissa agreed to let him (leon) stay and said the cost would be 100.00 per month. I took money to melissa toward leon's care and within day's melissa called and claimed she could not make the trade because the past owner is still owed 2,700.00 for him to people he had sold leon to. So i ask melissa if she still wanted to buy misty and she said yes she did but did not have the money yet. I waited a couple more week's and i ask her again for the money and she said she still didn't have it. So i told melissa that either she would have to have the money to pay for misty or i was coming to get her. Melissa told me that she did not have the money to buy misty but if i wanted misty back i would owe melissa 400.00 and this was after only 3 weeks of misty being there, she claimed misty was nut's and ripped her fence down and that misty was unsafe. I have tried very hard to try and work something out with melissa but the price keeps getting higher and higher. This girl lies so much she believes herself, and i am not the first person that she has ripped off nor will i be the last unless she can be stopped. I have filed a criminal complaint on her and now i have to start a civil suit. This has been an awful ordeal. So please be very careful who you deal with! And make sure you don't ever deal with her!
