Clara Troyer Unethical, don't buy from her, misrepresents, doesn't stand behind her guarantee, buys her horses and ponies from sales Millersburg, Ohio

Clara does sell horses & ponies, she buys 95% of her horses & ponies from  owners that no longer want the animals or have out grown them, or they are going in a different direction with there riding. As for the local farms she does buy from she can not control where they buy the horses from. She did get 5% from a sale, but it is not that often.

The vet does come out when there is a problem.  She can not control what happens when the horse or pony leave her place, they can get hurt in the trailer, & when you unload them. Plus it does not help when the new owner puts them in a very small area knee deep in mud & then puts two ponies in the small dog kennel together. If you where not happy why did you not send them back?  She does not have a trainer. Her 8 yr old grand daughter rides the kid safe ponies, & she is not a trainer.
Clara does say if you are not happy send the animal back.  She also lets buyers know  if the animal has any issues ( most of the time the buys dont want to here it just because it is the right color, the right size or just what they think they want. )
When Clara shipped the  horse, 2 ponies, & the donkey ( oh yea, you forgot to about the donkey Judy) the vet had to send a health certificate  & coggins, so when they did leave they where fine.

I have been working there for 5 years & never heard any bad stories about her competitors.

I stand by everything I wrote in the first report.  In fact, I have texts, video, and pictures to prove it.
I have a video of the horse unloading from the haul with manure up to his fetlocks.  I have a picture of one of the ponies she sold to me (she claimed to have gotten from a backyard owner) with a sales number right on him.  She must not have noticed.  I also have on video her explaining what the green stain on the rear end of the first pony I bought from her was.  This pony arrived completely foundered and could not even take a step.  The shipper was medicating the animal the entire way.  This poor thing should never have gotten on the trailer.  On top of being lame, there was something wrong with her private parts.  Clara claimed never to have seen this problem.  Yet, on the video she claims the stain in the rear was from worming her (it implied she lifted the tail and applied something back there).  I have texts supporting the fact that she knew the pony was foundered and she should have never gotten on the trailer.  This pony was in her care for many weeks after I made the purchase.  There is no way she did not know there was something wrong with her back end and she admitted she was lame.  I wanted to put this pony right back on the trailer and send it back as soon as I saw it.  The shipper had no room but more importantly she wasnt fit to travel.  I cared for her until the founder past and then donated her to an animal therapy organization.  When she discovered this report was out she obviously wrote the rebuttal herself.  This is the transcript of a text conversation we had when she found out about the report:

U must be talking about yourself.  That horse almost killed a seasoned trainer!  I had to give it away.  That makes how many now?  Hmmm, 3 of your animals.  You are a cr@#k!

Clara:
Thank You  God is my witness.  Why don't u put in there about ur donkey

You took absolutely no responsibility for those 3 bad sales that cost me at least 7,000.  Ur nuts if you think one good animal would make me recommend you.  And yes, God will ur witness.  I'm full of lies?  Your biggest lie is the one about your money back guarantee!! You have a lot of nerve calling me out.

After 20 minutes of no response I wrote:

Clara never offered me cash back.  It was always "I'll send you something great to make up for what happened".  In trying to recoup my money for the first pony I ended up getting stuck for 2 more.  Ask around.  I wished I had listened to others.

This pictures says it all.  Even though this poor horse has his winter coat you can still see all of his ribs.  He is up to his knees in mud and eating low energy straw.  Clara Troyer has no shame.  I can't believe she has the nerve to flagrantly advertise this horse for sale, which is obviously in poor condition.  Don't help her abuse horses, stop buying from her!

Lyn out of ca. states for the record that one of the equine she got from me still had the sticker  on the but t not true the pal pony was bought in the country in southern Ill by Chad Melton  Phone NO 2178403692 green paint was from where she rubbed her but on the gate .Ask Lyn for the phone no to where she gave the pony to .Fonder did not happen here she knew it had grass fonder from the amish farm that drove it for her.Call the shipper ,at 919-625-9191.What ever was wrong with her couchy did not happen here.I feel Hershbergers Truck Patch .gave her unethecal reasons to dought the truth for reference on hershberger truck Patch call 330- 763-4327 .also call the Mt Hope Sale barn at 330-674-6188 about drug abuse.Also the pony did not have fonder beyound  not useable call lyn and ask for the phone to whom she gave the pony to.My barn has always been very clean when she came .        Halflinger she bought off of us green broke and wasQuiet she pd 500.00 for him then asked to have him shipped to a diifferent location to have him driven ,SO,Andy took him there and that is where he was until  the morning he left .Andy went and picked him up was healthy  When dropped off call natalie 919-625-9191.She later sold him for 3500.00.  She then later stopped in and saw adonkey I had .She then wanted to buy the donkey so she pd for it and said she would have it shipped within thirty days.thirty days turned into five month in the mean time she asked us to drive it for along with other things.WE did not charge her for it .we then wormed the donkey cause it was fall .Then when we shipped the donkey I asked that she worm it again.Call this no her name is Angie919-229--3823 she called me and complained about the condition of the pen. Then in January of 2011 she bought a black gelding with chrome that I had just bought at Mt Hope for a lady in columbus then I proceeded to text Lyn with a picture and right away she wanted the horse I commented that horse is not broke they recommended as hadnt been worked for 4 month needs worked she commented that is ok she would have somebody train him .Then three weeks after she had him she called me about an injury he had she  had the vet out call her vet the vet stated that injury was more recent then my  farm condition he was loaded into call angie she will identify .I never told her I guarantee any horse or pony it is exchange only . This horse came from  a camp ground in canal fulton and the owner was in a car accident where his body was cut in many pieces Jan 11,2011.They did not get proper care all winter until they came here I knew the owner before he was killed  I also knew his girlfriend His girlfriend merely lost it or his partner whatever they were, when it came time to start up there programs they needed horses that were ready to go so i traded 3 of theres for 1 of mine.But still lost money there 3 are now all sold and have good homes call this no6149179606ask for angel .The hay you see in the picture is sun bleached and in the back ground ,you can see green grass,in the middle of the bale there is green .only city slickers that are ignorant would not know the difference.call Mt. Clara titled it correctly as she is a big story teller.  In reading her rant you can see how slick she is.  She talks you in circles.  If you actually tested the credibility of her friends you will get an indication of the type of person she is (birds of a feather).  You don't need to write a thesis if the facts and the truth are on your side, it's fairly simple.  Here are the truthful facts:
FIRST PURCHASE:
BREED:       Friesen Percheron cross                             
PROBLEM:          None, this horse came from someone else NOT CLARA                     
OUTCOME   Paid Clara 300 finders fee and I enjoy this horse today. Clara had a fight with the owner over boarding fees she didn't pay him.  This was not Clara’s horse and she only introduced me to the owner and parted with him on bad terms. 

BREED:       Haflinger Gelding                              
PROBLEM:          Pony arrived sick.                      
OUTCOME   He was a nice pony, however, I ended up having to hospitalize him because of the shipping fever and I had to sell him due to the overwhelming expense of vet bills, boarding, and training since he was not trained at all.  I did sell him for 3500.00 3-4 months later. However, the hospital bill was 1200, the board was 1500, training was 1500, so do the math.  I told Clara CA is expensive and I was concerned about buying animals that were unhealthy. Clara as usual said “he was fine for me, didn’t happen here, my farm is healthy”. Only to find out later that her farm did have strangles just before she sent me this horse.  She disclosed this fact within another story and she didn’t realize it. 

BREED:        Palomino mare pony                          
PROBLEM:          Pony was shipped with a severe case of founder and an injury to her privates.              
OUTCOME   Clara blamed the hauler for loading the pony with founder, clara wanted me to sell the pony in CA.  I didn’t feel this was ethical and clara was not going to give me back my money so I donated her to a therapy program once I got her healthy.  I lost the purchase price, hauling fees, and board/care.       

SECOND PURCHASE:
BREED:        Mini Donkey                              
PROBLEM:           None, love her! 
OUTCOME:   Enjoy her today, she is great. 

BREED: Shetland paint pony
PROBLEM:  This pony was absolutely not kid safe as she stated.  She bit, chased the donkey around, and tried to destroy the 12x20 pen by kicking down the wooden rails and trying to climb out.
OUTCOME:  This pony was supposed to make things right for the health issues I had had with the haflinger and palamino.
I had to give her away at the end of a week.  Lost purchase price, shipping fees, and cost to repair stall.  Clara lied to me and told me that this pony was kid safe and she came from a backyard owner.  On further inspection of the pictures she texted me I saw the auction number (unfortunately I saw this after she arrived).

BREED:        Black Horse                   
PROBLEM:          She texted me a picture and info of a supposed 16H percheron/friesen cross with quiet draft temperment.  Again, this couldn’t be further from the truth.  As soon as he came off the trailer in 2 ft of horse poop a blind man could see he was 15.2 at best.  He had two major cracks in his hooves, a large splint injury, and some scars on his back legs.  Also, he was very thin.  Clara: “so sorry he lost so much wt he was so fat when he left and so pretty”.  “He lost 200 lbs or more”.  She always ended with “don’t know what to tell you”.  Clara wants me to believe he lost over 200 lbs in 3 days.  That’s not the worst of it.  The horse had obviously been mistreated.  He stuck out with his hind legs wouldn’t let you touch him (shivered with fear).  I invested 2 months of training and board trying to overcome this issue until he flipped the trainer over and near broke her ankle.  He was kicked out of the training program by a professionally ranked trainer.      
OUTCOME: I insisted Clara take this horse back.  I paid 1500 for him and demanded she refund my money as she claims to have a gaurantee ( see proof in text below).  This is when our relationship got nasty because I wouldn’t accept her lies.  She turned into an entirely new person.  Not so sweet anymore.  I gave him away as he was dangerous.  I lost purchase price, training, board, and vet care fees.

IN CONCLUSION:
I bought 6 animals in Ohio.  One of them was not from Clara's farm and he is wonderful.  Out of the other 5 I got from her I was only able to keep ONE!!  Three of them I had to give away, forfeiting the purchase price, hauling fees, and vet and care expenses.  Only one horse was good enough to sell  so I can try and recover some of the expense because she he was sick. Only after I spent money to get him well again and train him to the point he was marketable but I still lost a lot of money on this one horse. 

Why is Clara mad and spending her time responding?  Clara Troyer made profit off of each and every one of those sales.  She figured I live in CA and there is nothing I can do about what she did to me.  Anyone considering buying from her can now know what the immediate community of Millersburg already knows.  

Here is an example of my text to her before I realized she wasn't going to honor her guarantee:
Dear Clara,
I'll be honest with you. I never thought I'd be in this position again but I want to return the black horse and get my money back. 
He's not what u said: he's not quiet. He bit me. He won't let u get near his feet, and he's fearful of people. I have to pay somebody to treat his leg and cracked hooves and she cant touch his feet.I can only imagine putting a saddle on him will be easy.
He's not Percheron friesen like u said. That's unmistakable. He's small and He's not going to get bigger. As soon as he stepped off the trailer I knew he wasn't a "king" look a like.
The worst part is he's injured. I know what u tell me "he was fine"but it doesn't change the fact that the second time around the horse steps off the trailer and I have a vet bill. I can't sell him bc nobody is going to give me anything if I describe him as he is. I am asking for my 1500 back. I think this is fair. I'm out the 800 trailer fee, board/supplies, and vet care which is about 1500.

I'm so mad about all of this trouble. I don't think I'd be too polite. You make absolutely no sense. I have repaired the fence 3 xs myself, I have seen 2 injuries on Barron myself, I've seen with my own eyes the exact opposite of what you said these animals were like except for joy but I saw her and did not have to rely on your word. I'm so frustrated with all of this. 
No reason to call Chad. Why? You haven't responded to the concerns I have with Baron. There's no way he let you handle his back leg. Either u saw the injury or sent him knowing he was touchy with his legs. Either one of these reasons y should have told me. Please respond to that.

FINAL NOTE:
I responded to clara immediately with pictures, texts, and videos in response to each problem horse she sold me and I have the proof!  Clara's only defense is her unintelligible double talk with phone numbers of her friends.  It's not a bad thing to buy from the sale as long as the seller discloses that fact and doesn't lie.
Save yourself the trouble, don't believe either of us but buy from someone else just to be on the safe side.

Really Clara, are you serious?  

You claim "Angie", your eye witness (who works for the hauler and made the second delivery) has some shocking information: "Call this no her name is Angie919-229--3823 she called me and complained about the condition of the pen".
Is this the same Angie that hauled animals from Ohio to CA in 3 days?  Is this the same person who can't be bothered to clean out the trailer during stops, if there were any (doubt it, making that kind of time pulling a trailer)?  Look at the way "Angie" made those horses travel; standing in 2 feet of their own excrement.  SEE PHOTO.  
Yes clara, like I said before I have irrefutable proof.  I have texts, pictures, and videos that are date and time stamped by my Iphone and Mac computer. They prove exactly when you were notified (right away, not 3 weeks later).  I have a video showing Angie's husband leading the horse to a large round pen and me showing him the horses new 24x24 fully covered stall.  This stall is at a professional stable with show and pleasure horses.  SEE PHOTO.  Those who live in glass houses shouldn't cast stones.  That means take a look at the picture of YOUR pasture showing a ripped up chain link fence parts on the ground where the ponies can get injured.  This is a picture you posted yourself selling this poor pony.  Remember that other haflinger in your barn you were trying to sell me?  He was covered in flies, skinny as could be, with long untrimmed hooves and an injury.  I can post that picture too if you like.  

My issues are with Clara not you N*******(hauler)  However, your company's record is not so spotless so I understand why you don't mention it by name.  If you knew all the crap Clara talked behind your back you wouldn't think she's too nice either (money you owe her, personal issues with your ex, plus she totally threw you under the bus about the pony with founder.  She said it was your decision to ship her and doctor her along the way and not tell me about it until after she was loaded.).

It's true, I sent a check to cover feed expenses to you but it was returned due to lack of postage. Thankfully it came back after you refused to make things right.  Admittedly I was very trusting and yes dumb.  If you think I would give you one more penny after the the thousands of dollars you cost me you are crazier than I think you are.

Take a look at the picture showing how "Angie", clara's witness treats the horses she hauls.

Here again is more evidence how Clara keeps her horses.  As you can see these ponies (and all of her other horses) are living among trash, cinder blocks, wood with perhaps nails, etc.  Anyone who truly cared about animals would not allow them to live in conditions like this.  They could step on nails, get caught in the cinder block, and even ingest the trash on the ground while trying to eat.

Let Us Praise THe LORD AND GIVE HIM THE GLORY FOR THOSE WHO TELL THE TRUTH LET US ASK FOR HIS RICH BLESSINGS IN TRIFOLD   SO THAT THOSE WHO MOCK US AND SCORN US  CAN NO LONGER COME  TO THESE RIPOFF REPORTS UNLESS THERE IS ACOMPLETE SEARCH DONE AS OF WHO ARE THE KNEW OWNERS AND BELIEVE IN GOD BECAUSE WHEN YOU START MAKING FUN OF OTHER PEOPLE YOUR ANIMALS CAN  EASILY BECOME INFESTED WITH DEMONS SO BE CAREFUL wHat YOu do GOD can see you at all times  asking god to bless those who need blessed WE feel very blessed
