This woman contacted us to buy our colt and offered us $350.00 she claimed to run and operate her own rescue and she re trains them and shows them in local shows. So, it sounded too good to be true. I talked about throwing in our mare that was getting up there in years and had just lost her baby, she said she'd take her for free! We agreed on a date to deliver and that would be an extra $150 for gas and ferry ride to Port Orchard. They had us waiting around all day till it was dark then had us deliver the horses. We talked and visited for a bit and then asked for the payment and she said she thought they were free! I said no, only the mare was free and the only reason she was free was because she was buying our colt for $350.00 she said she "misunderstood" and I told her you answered MY add on our colt and I was pretty clear in the add he was 4 sale. so, she agreed to send us the money on the first and we went ahead and left them. Biggest mistake of our lives! A month later, No payment no word from her. Tried calling her, e-mailing her, every way I knew how. Then some relatives sent me a news paper from the area and she accused us of animal cruelty and neglect. This is bogus. My horses are very well cared for and we have a list of references from professionals. If you look at the link below you can see other charges Miss Campbell has against her. She's not a nice woman to deal with.
