Howard Walmer is not a kill buyer, he is a horse trader, but also runs a very nice well respected tack store out of his home, and has for years.
4H members and everyday normal people buy from him. He sells new and used tack at auctions, as well as buying.
Yes now and again he will take a horse to an auction but as often or not buys them to save them from kill buyers.
He normally goes to auctions to buy tack, as well as sell some.
He does not have the set up to buy horses for resale for slaughter.
He farms with his belgians, the old fashioned way, and even puts his hay up in his barn using horse power.
There are times he will transport horses for others.
The only horses I know of that might have been resold to a kill buyer were ones that he was asked to transport. He only moved the horses from point A to point B.
And he is not in Edgerton. If you are going to file a report.. get your facts straight.

I personally know Howard Walmer.  First of all he does not live in Edgerton, it's Evansville.  He DOES NOT take horses to slaughter!!!  I'm not sure where you got your information from, but you are wrong.  Don't slam a person if you don't have first hand knowledge.  Have you ever met him?  Have you ever gone to his business?  You must not have if you got the city wrong.  They are about 25 miles apart.   Again, please get your facts straight.

first of all i dont no who u r and i dont apperciate u talking all kinds of stuff about me and u dont even no me im going to make this short because i dont have childish games to play  1 i do not go to kill barns or sale barns  2 i dont traverl so i have never been out of state only for my sons grad from the army 3 i do not buy horeses to make money or send them to kill 4 i dont have no storys to make up about 4 h or dumb stuff i have rescued 2 horses which r now in good homes they were on their death beds. i can verify it all through my vet  my shoer or any one around here i love my aniamls very much and i have had mine for a long time so before you go shooting off ur mouth about me no ur facts u must not have to much of a life to be on here posting stuff about people u do not no this may say u cant get into trouble but already talked to a laywer so i suggest u go after the true crimanals and not me and for the other people u posted in here kepp ur mouth  shut about them too u dont no me or them come to my farm and visit it once call my vet ill give u his name and address and to my shoer too so sit and think about ur own life before you talk about mine and other peoples destroy ur own life and not ours and if it dont stop action will be takin i have no more to say.             thank u julie

First of all Julie and Tina both were working with the Rock County Sherriffs department in a rescue effort to take in neglected and emaciated horses! They were working with Sgt. Viereck in which at that time they both took in a couple of horses brought them back to health and found good homes for them.They did not make a profit on any of the horses! Secondly whom ever is writing this stuff needs to get their facts straight! Howard Walmer owns a tack store he is NOT a kill buyer! If anything he saves horses from such situatations! Howard does NOT live in Edgerton it is Evansville so get your lie straight!Third to the idiot that posted this about these people why are you hiding? Is this your way of getting a good laugh and ruining a person`s reputation? You are that cowardly to post this on the internet while you hide behind a computer.What ever you have to say on a computer you should be able to say to the person`s face! All of these people are against horse slaughter as a matter of fact 2 of them are members of PETA and SHARK! All 3 of these people care dearly for animals and they will do whatever it takes to save an animal! You could go and visit any of their animals and you would see for yourself they are well cared for! I would like to know the name of the horses that were supposedly slaughtered? You probably can`t even tell us that since this whole thing was a lie! Any horses that were taken in there whereabouts are KNOWN!
