I was in the hospital August 2011.. I went into the ER first, had fevers that wouldn't go away. The fevers went up to 103-104F. I waited on the couch in the lobby for 1 1/2 hours in a lot of pain and with high fevers. When I finally got in there it was maybe another 2 hours later until they gave me tyneol. I got my room and found I had a kidney infection again. I was in for 4 days because the last day I was so sick of it all I signed myself out.
The nurses don't give a crap about you there, they take forever or they just don't come at all. The nurse came in and took my temp, it was back up to 102.7, and she said she'll be right back she needs to let the doctor know and then will get me tyneol. 2 hours go by and she never came back, the new nurse on duty (night shift nurse) came in and I told her about it, she helped me and got me tyneol. If I had her during the day then I wouldn't really be writing this, but the day time nurse was just ignorant.
And the doctor I rarely ever saw, I wanted to ask him questions and he kept looking nervous and wanting to leave not wanting to talk to his own patients (me).
One of the nights I was there, I heard this old lady fall in the hall and screamed for help 3 times, nobody was coming to her, so I buzzed in the nurse and they answered and I told them how there was a lady in the hall yelling for help, they finally came after that. She fell maybe 10 feet from where the nurses station around the corner was.. You'd think they would have heard her if they weren't so busy chit chatting about their days or their dates.
Needless to say, I wasn't taken care of at all there I was taking care of myself instead, that I just got sick of it, and signed myself out. I was tired of being there. The IV went bad on me too and my arm started bleeding where the needle was put in at.

ER stands for Emergency Room which is geared towards people with emergencies ie: car crashes, heart attacks, burn victims etc etc. IF you knew how to treat your symptoms with Tylenol then what is the reason you went to the ER??
I suspect the next ROR you file will be about the bill you receive. I suggest next time you go to your local Doc in the Box (as I call it) or after hours primary care clinic.
