OAKWOOD INN Oakwood Inn are Theives!!! Oakdale Louisiana

I currently wrote a positive report on Oakwood Inn in Oakdale, LA but I am now sad to say they are thevies. I supposenly left my door open (I never do that) and a thin black woman who is a cleaning lady came to us about 4:45pm the evening right when we walked in the door (dont you think she should of been home and done cleaning by then?) she told us we left our door wide open and that she just wanted to let us know that incase something was missing. Well I have many items in this hotel because we are displaced from hurricane Ike, such as a xbox 360, ps2, or a computer? Well my 14k gold necklace and cross came up missing, it was there before we left but was gone after she informed us we left our door open.

I then questioned her about if she seen anyone come in here becaus eI have a necklace and charm missing, her reply was "oh no I dont wear jewelry" I never asked her if she wore jewlery I asked if she seen anyone come in her. She then said "I think if someone would still something it would be that computer there" and I said well I guess I will have to file a police report and her reply was "oh yea we have cameras abnd we can see who goes and comes from the hotel, that computer is to big for someone to steal thats why they just put that necklace in their pocket, I bet it was though black boys across the street." She then told em to go down to the office and I said ok I need to take a shower first. She then hurried down to the office without her cleaning cart or anything, she left it behind. I called down there right before she made it to the door and told them the issue, they said they would check the cameras.

Well I called today and they told me they would not check the camera because the other ladys was with the thin black lady and they did not see anyone come or go from the apartment and they did not see her steal anything. She also told me I signed a paper stating that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items, I do not recall doing this nd they cant show me the paper I signed? In conclusion, my advise is NOT to stay here and if you do BECAREFUL FOR THEY ARE THEIVES!!!
