In early September, I went online to Priceline.com Name Your Own Price because I needed a hotel room in Wash., DC for our family get together.  My 82 yr. old aunt and I were going to room together and the rest of the family was going to be up there, staying at hotels in the Dupont Circle area.  I went to Name Your Own Price, and it asks you, by checking the blocks, what area of DC you want to be in.  I checked the "Dupont Circle" area. I named my price, and then I was told "I was successful - I had a room" or words close to that.  Well immediately after I saw what hotel they gave me, my cousin and I knew that it was NOT in the Dupont Circle area. I immediately emailed and CALLED Priceline to let them know there was a bad mistake here.  I had to call about 15 more times and finally the next day, Priceline did refund part of my money, but they still kept $105.00 of my money. I asked why they kept any and their response is robotic, really - "that is our policy."  Well, they are screwing so many people over by doing this.  This is how they are making money.  It is so crooked.  I ended up not being able to go the DC because of this mess.  Not only that, Priceline wouldn't let me put that money towards another room.  They have been totally unwilling to help me on this.  I want the rest of my money back. It was their mistake - not mine.  DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.  THEY ARE CROOKS!  Deal directly with the hotel or at least deal with Travelocity.  They would not do this to you.  Priceline representatives are foreign, can barely speak English, hard to understand, reading from a book and simply WILL NOT HELP.  BEWARE.
