On Jan. 7, 2003 I noticed an unauthorized charge had posted to my credit account on Jan. 3, 2003. I contacted the hotel and asked for information on the unauthorized charge and they informed me it was a “No Show” charge for a reservation on Dec. 30, 2002. I was shocked to hear this since I had not made a reservation.

I explained that the charge had to be erroneous and that I had stayed at the hotel one year earlier on Dec. 29 through Dec. 30 , 2001. I was informed that I would need to speak to the manager. I spoke with VC Naik and I explained that I had not made a reservation for December 30, 2002 and that it was obvious that somehow an error was made the year before.

However, instead of reasoning and logically examining the situation, he responded by becoming verbally abusive, insulting, rude, condescending and argumentative.

He claimed that I made the reservation for Dec. 30, 2002 on the exact same day, Dec. 30, 2002 which was also illogical. I decided to contact Corporate Customer Service presented them with these facts over the course of a month:

1. The hotel claims I made the reservation on Dec. 30, the same day of the reservation. This is suspicious as I have a work schedule dated 12/20/2002, and the testimony of my supervisor's indicating that I was not planning to be out of town or taking any time off from work during the holidays.

2. I can produce official phone records indicating that I did not call Flagstaff at the time in question;

3. The reservation was made using my old credit information - my expiration date changed in 2002, yet the hotel reservation has the old expiration date;

4. The phone number the hotel has for the reservation does not match any phone number I have ever had in my life, and the area code is completely unknown to me

I have contacted the hotel directly and Corporate Customer Service multiple times and yet they have failed to resolve this in a timely or efficient manner.
