They messed up our check out, and finally got that straightened out. Today, I discovered they had charged my debit card for $150 and are accusing us of stealing their clock radio/Ipod docking station. It was there when we checked out and both my husband and I double and triple checked the room at check out.
The manager, Derek Roberts, told my husband that it was there when we checked in and after we checked out it was missing. I have called Vicki at Marriott corp office and requested an investigation. I have called, Derek Roberts, the GM and left 2 messages for him. He told my husband and Vicki that he is not going to refund the money. I told Vicki that I am disputing it with my bank. They bank has refunded the money and closed my debit card. I am not going to take this lying down!

My name is Derek Robertson, the general manager of the SpringHill Suites Montgomery. We recently had the aforementioned guests staying in two rooms of our hotel, rooms 107 & 108. The guest states to Marriott that the docking station was attached to the desk in 108 (their room), but not attached in room 107 (her son's room). The housekeeper that cleaned the room reported the I-home missing upon entering the room. She has worked for us for over 2 years and we have never had reason to question her honesty. I only mention this because the guest called her honesty into question in a letter to me. While the guest may or may not have removed the radio from the room, they are responsible for items missing from the room during the rental. This is the first time that we have had this type of incident and rank very high in Marriott customer satisfaction. I will let ours and Marriott's reputation stand on its own on this incident.
