I wish I had been warned before I signed up with 20/20!!

They promised to help us resolve our problems with the IRS for $4,500, which we paid. A couple of months later we were told that we had to pay an additional $6,500 because our problems were complex and time consuming. I'm embarrassed to admit that we paid the additional money. 2 months later we were hit up for more money because..blah blah blah (same song, second verse).

We didn't pay and now we are in worse trouble than we were before and we have $11,000 less in our bank account. We were told by the IRS Officer handling our case that 20/20 said we weren't cooperating and completing the work we were supposed to be doing so they revoked their power of attorney.  Thank goodness we were able to show Mr. IRS that in fact we had completed all tasks assigned to us and also documentation of the problems with 20/20. 

Bottom line - they're crooks who prey on the desperation of those in need. It's probably best to suck it up and deal with Mr. or Ms. IRS. They WILL get the money you owe one way or another.
