411.ca SCAM, Small businesses, Rip-off Toronto Ontario Canada

 411.ca is a company that offers internet advertising. They target small or new businesses like myself.

They contacted me and I was skeptical, but agreed to try it. They gave me nothing at the end of the month ...no listing information, no information about usage etc, and continued to charge my credit card every month for no services. I only found out because I had changed my CC at which point they contacted me to get updated CC information.

When I was alarmed at the fact I had paid 100's of dollars and had never recieved anything ...not one customer call, not one report, nothing!, they told me the only thing they could do -going forward- was to lower the rate, when that wasn't an option, they sent me to a collection agency ...(CANADA LEGAL REFERRAL - John De Murtas)
                                
for the one month which had not been paid since the CC change and an additional month because it was after I hadn't made the decision to continue the service at a reduced rate.

When I asked where the ad was listed, it took several attempts to find it on the internet, and even then you would have to be a very patient consumer to put in exactly letter for letter the right name.

I could have 100's of FREE listings in better locations with better results once again ...for FREE.

They were not satisfied that I was completely unhappy with this listing and the fact that they had received several months of payments regardless, but then to put me in collection for additional months which I hadn't agreed to is such a disgrace to any ligitimate company, it sickens me they can do this and it sickens me that legal companies use these situations to their advantage.
