Your daughter shouldn't have been there in the first place. in fact, they can actually sue YOU now. These rules are on display and you must click "agree" to get into any part of the website past the front page, even the ones with no pornography, profanity, etc. boards called "Safe for Works" boards. The fact that there are indecent photos of your daughter is no fault of their, either. They produce no original content (Even being famous for having NO originality, whatsoever). Please do not blame 4chan for the shortcomings of your daughter or yourself.

It's either free speech or it's not. You can't say, "I support free speech... only when it's my free speech."

Your daughter made a mistake, she got drunk, took all of her clothes off, and now it's floating around the internet.

Paris Hilton didn't get anywhere with taking down any websites when her sex-tape was released, and you won't get anywhere either.

Your daughter's nude pictures are among a sea of nude pictures on the internet, I don't think she's been defaced at all... just de-clothed.

4chan doesn't rip people off. It can't - it's not a business. It's a social forum and a social experiment to observe how people act and react in a completely anonymous environment. The situation you have is a clear-cut instance of a young person making a mistake and having to learn from it. Furthermore, the operators of 4chan do everything they can to prevent any illegal activity from occuring - as shown by rule #1 of the website:
"Do not upload, post, discuss, request, or link to, anything that violates local or United States law. This will be severely punished and strictly enforced."

If your daughter got drunk at a party and took all her clothes off, and those pictures made their way to the internet (as they usually do nowadays, we live in the information age), then you have failed as a parent.

Not only did you not teach her about underage drinking, but you never bothered to tell her how to keep her clothes on.

Don't try to blame the internet for your failure as a parent.

Who are you to say who has the freedom of speech? Your daughter made the mistake, not 4chan. Perhaps you should look at your own family instead of coming on the internet. The only thing you did by posting this is make it worse for yourself. I hope you have a great day.

Let's hope your daughter learned from her mistake and hope she never does it again.

The only thing you can do is teach your daughter how to tell other people to **** right off. 4chan has several adult-only boards, and they are cruel, vulgar, over-the-top, socially-unacceptable places. Above all else, IGNORE IT. Don't make a big deal out of anything, because the moment you draw attention to something and emphasize it, it gets played up over and over and over. If you just ignore it, it will go away in minutes, because nothing on 4chan lasts very long... unless you draw attention to it and in some way cause people to remember it for any reason.

Children aren't allowed on those boards, anyway, so your daughter shouldn't be in there. As for getting rid of 4chan, get in line. People with a lot more resources and better reasons have been trying to do that for a long, long time. It's not going to happen.
