Good dealings with aac

AUTHOR: bigfish - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 01, 2013

I don't work for or know anyone who works for aac. With that being said I do have an account with them.

My story begins with me and my family having to move to GA for a better paying job. In doing so the cost of relocating was more than I could afford. Because of this I took out a title for $3000. I had this title loan for over a year and was never able to pay the interest down because of the monthly payment being so high. I always made my payments on time and had no issues doing so.

I found out about aac (1-800-NEW-DEAL) and decided to give them a try. I have been with aac for about 6 months now. I of course owe way more than the original $3000 but its nice to see the principle come down every time i make a payment. At least now there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

My only negative experience has been when I changed insurance.  I went from geico to statefarm. On the following months payment I was charged an extra $100. When I called to find out about this they said it was due to lapse of insurance.  I never had a lapse and know for a fact they received the proper paperwork. I know this because my wive works for statefarm and personally faxes it to them. A month later I am still trying to reclaim the $100 and have this extra charge taken off my monthly payments.  Thier customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with.

You avoid dealing with sub-prime lenders by paying your bills on time!  But I see, that's not your responsibility...you're "credit challenged".

GROW UP.

If you can't afford the car, don't buy it.  If you don't have enough money coming in, then get up off your a-- and get a part time job to bring more money in.

What a sorry bunch of welfare types!  They owe you a car, I guess.

One of the Biggest mistakes Ive made in Life

AUTHOR: FTC - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 06, 2011

This company is terrible!!! They take advantage of people who are in need of transportation and have had past credit problems and misfortune.  Talk about kicking a person when they are down. this company Thrives off these kinds of situations. and because of its underhanded business practices it wont last very long.

I fell for their game when i was younger and uneducated on these types of practices. This is how
they get you.

1.They sell you a car that's way overpriced
2.They charge you a insane amount of interest on top of the overpriced vehicle.
3 They require huge down payments beccause they know you will likely default so they get as much as
they can upfront.
4.IME Alot of the sales associated were arrogant and act as tho they are doing you a favor by selling you
you a car.when they
only can get paid by getting gullible people to sign there rapetract of a autoloan.
5. if you miss a payment they will call you like they pay rent at your place. day and night!!
6. they will repo your car at the drop of a hat.

The bottom line is to stay far way from this place. Ride marta if you have too, catch a ride with friend.
bulild up your credit. there are way better choices out there. these people are straight demons.

you borrow money with terrible credit. you don't own the car the bank does, you make payments on it, so when you finish paying it off they send you a title.

You are lucky to have gotten a loan and should have paid the loan on time. Tired of people who buy cars and don't have intentions of paying for them and then complain they are repo'd. You admitted the payment was deferred and you were still late. you lose this arguement every time.

The worst kind of predatory lender

AUTHOR: tma - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, December 27, 2010

I had to get an account with this bank because of a bad credit history. I take full responsibility for the mistakes I've made, but I'm back on track, my finances are in order, and I am refinancing with another bank at a much lower rate. However, Automobile Acceptance is doing everything in its power to stop that from happening. (I've had an account with this bank more than a year and have NEVER been late on a payment.)

I'd love to join any legal action against this bank. Also, I'm looking into BBB complaints and other regulatory I can report this company's despicable conduct to. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

You don't have money for your first payment, right?  Let's see...and I quote..."disconnected my speakers"..."professional amplifier installation"..."car radio/TV/DVD-CD player".  Golly, I can't imagine why you didn't have money for even the FIRST payment!

Yes sir, they are so-o-o-o heartless in requiring you to live up to your obligations.

And the fact YOU decided to file a BK, its all their fault, right?

RESPONSE TO JIM

AUTHOR: FURIOUS - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, June 20, 2010

Hi Jim,

You are correct, the first payment has to be on time.  Wells Fargo, Suntrust and other major lenders usually stress the importance at the time the loan is generated.  Automobile Acceptance is and exception to this rule.  Automobile Acceptance financed an Automobile for me and gave me a due date without an account number.  I called their customer support line several times asking for an account number, and no one seemed to have an answer, yet they began collection calls.  I asked one of the representatives, how can you make collection calls and not have an account for me, and she told me she would get back to me and never did.  I called the dealership and asked if I could make a payment with them, and they told me not without an account number.  This company is shady!  All of my interactions with them have been legally recorded! The proof is in the recordings! :)

It's very important that rebuttals are fair to the author and other consumers who are considering doing business with this company! That is primarily the reason ripoff report exists! When consumers defy an authors dilema, it becomes difficult for potential buyers to make sound decisions, because they now have a jaded view! Automobile Acceptance is a very SHADY company!

Response to #1's Rebuttal

AUTHOR: FURIOUS - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, June 19, 2010

To the author of this report, you are on point when it comes to Automobile Acceptance, they are  going down!!! I too experienced problems with this company! They repossessed my vehicle after months of extortion, I got an attorney involved and we proved our case which resulted in the return of my vehicle, they were not too happy about that and played game after game blocking me from making payments and harrassing me when I came in to the dealerships to make payments.  They had the audacity to repo the vehicle again! I'm suing this company, and will not stop until I put a hole in their pockets! You are more than welcome to contact me if you want to pursue a class action suit against this organization.

As for #1 rebuttal, you are just an under cover employee of Automobile Acceptance! I have read that same response on several consumer sites! This company is going to close before the end of the year, so I suggest you look for employment some where else!

1-800-NEW DEAL WAS helpful

AUTHOR: Wayne - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 15, 2010
I received help from Automobile Acceptance Corporation. I was trapped in an expensive title pawn loan. I was paying over $400 per month for over 2 years and had only seen the principle amount of the loan go down a couple of hundred dollars.

Automobile Acceptance Corporation paid off that expensive title pawn and gave me a high interest rate loan (although a high rate still MUCH lower than the title pawn).  The loan payment was $100 less than my minimum title pawn payment.  The loan is PAID OFF in 24 months.

I was warned UP FRONT that there was no grace period and that I must make my payments on time. THAT IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE TITLE LOAN.  Your car is in jeopardy of repossession either way.

For me, I continue to pay the $400 per month in order to pay off the loan more quickly and save more money. I appreciate the service that AAC offers.

I have poor credit. AAC did run a credit report on me. I do have a job and the means to pay. By the end of my loan with them I will have saved several thousand dollars compared to paying the same amount back through the title loan. The good news is that AAC also reports on time payments to the credit bureau, so this helps to raise my credit score as well.

While I sympathize at your plight, it hardly sounds like what has happened to you was the fault of AAC. I am sure that they are operating under their contract terms with you.
