I went online to look for local florists in Cushing, TX to send flowers to a co-worker's mother's funeral.  Ava's Flowers came up stating they were locally/family owned.

Ava's Flowers had a website to order plants/flowers online, but I chose to call them personally.  I call on 9/11/2013 and told the young man what I wanted and that it needed to be delivered by 6:00 p.m. the same day for visitation at the funeral home.

The young man tried to get me to buy something more expensive but I declined. Then when he gave me the total it was more than the online price.  I asked him what the extra charge was for and he told me it was a $14.00 delivery charge.

I gave him the name of the deceased as well as the funeral home.  Also, I gave him my name, telephone no., credit card information, etc. and he assured me the plant would be delivered on time.

Another co-worker and I went to the funeral and did not see anything like what I had ordered, so I asked the person if they had received a plant from me.  They went through all the cards and there was nothing.

I checked my account and I had been charged for the plant.  I called Ava's Flowers and they immediately put me on hold.  I waited about 20 min. and someone else came on the phone and again I was put on hold.  I waited another 20 min. when a young lady came to the phone.

I explained the situation to her and she begins to look up the order and says she cannot find an order that I made.  I asked her how is that my account had been charged if they have no record of my name or order.  After debating the issue with her, I asked for a manager or supervisor.  She did not want to comply with my request.  When I insisted, she hung up on me.

I called back and as soon as I requested to speak to a manager again, I was put on hold another 15-20 min.  Finally someone else got on the phone.  I again explained to him the situation.  He says there is no record of my order.  I tell him I can get proof from my bank that they have charged my account.  Of course, he doesn't want the proof.

He leaves it at he will give his manager the information for the manager to look into the situation.  This person cannot give me the manager's name nor can he give the number to contact him again because he moves around.
