This company is so shady. I am already working with one magazine company. company X. About 2-3 months into my relationship with X, what I, or any consumer would think that it is the same X company calls me with this intro line.
"Hi we are the company (no name given) that handles your magazine subscriptions. (soundling as if we are already doing business together) blah blah blah, we need to confirm the information you already gave us (which I never gave this company) So I "confirmed" my info. only to find out on my bank statement that I am getting billed twice as much, for duplicate magazines from different clearing houses. WHAT THE CRAP!
Move ahead about 2 years or so, I move (in june), and get another bank. Not closing my old account at my previous address. I during the months since I've moved, I was checking my balance on my old account weekly. Not once did AEM attempt to take funds from my account.
They called me a few times saying that they have updated lists of the magazines they offer, yet I have failed to received 1 new list. Nothing. I even tried to close the account by mailing them a hand-written & signed statement asking them to close my account.
When I moved, I attempted to call them several times, only to be greeted my a voicemail system. As far as my phone records show, they have only contacted me once since then, Last SATURDAY Jan 3rd! They said that they have been trying to reach me since November regarding my account in which funds were being drawn from. once again, WHAT THE CRAP!
The lady on the other end said that if this is not rectified in 4 weeks that my account is going into collections. CHAT the WRAP!
I attempted to call them back today, only to hear ringing for 2 minutes. No answer, no machine, no nothing.
If anyone calls you with this premise, hang up immediately. Once I actually make contact with them I will be DEMANDING that they close my account, and do not call me again.
Please if anyone else has had this happen to them, let us know!

I just had a call from them for the 10th time this year I believe. I just got one a few min ago and decided to look up the company to see if they are real and this is the first thing that popped up. I have gotten the same threats as stated above. I did it the first time and got charged $50. when you care was renewed the next month I didn't notify them. I heard of a scam going around. When the called I asked them to send me a bill to prove to me I have an account and owe them money.
The person on the line every time said we don't send out bill statements. Puzzled I asked why and got no straight forward answer. They would get upset and tell me I had to pay now or it would go into collections. I stated to them when you can prove to me that I owe you money I'm not going to give you anything. They would then say "Fine you will go to collections then" and hang up the phone.
This is a scam and these people need to be stopped. They are taking advantage of people that had or have a subscription. This is fraud and they should be in jail.

America elite media 800 661 0619 has sent me an over due notice as well. As far as I know my account closed last year. How did you deal with them.

To whom it may concern, I received a letter from the America's Elite media saying that I owe money from an account I never heard of. They also stated a threat that if I don't pay the remit payment amount of $49.95 they'll press charges against me. I'm feeling scared about this if a law official is reading this rebutal, please have him or her investigate this matter. America's Elite Media has no website, the have a phone number it's 800-661-0619, their location is PO BOX 27762 DENVER, COLORADO 80227. This website of the Ripoff Report seems to know about the America's Elite Media stating that this is a scam. Well I'm a victim of this and I really need your help.
