Amica North America Services Inc. (North American Direct Sweepstakes And Promotion CO) (Unclaimed Prize Division) Second Category Of Publisher's Clearing House Happily informing me I won 250,000, sent me a check for 3,945. Told me to deposit it and then call them Seattle Washington

I got a letter informing me I was the lucky winner in the second category of the Publisher's Clearing house and a Compensation Draw Sweepstakes also known as the North American Direct Sweepstakes.

I was approved to be paid $250,000.00 with a certified check by their special courier company (unnamed of course).

I was given the name of a filemaker and a phone number to call for more details.

They included a check for $3,945 payable to me to pay Non Resident Govt. Service Tax and insurance (the total amount to be paid was $3,721.10).

The check was written on the Citibank of Delaware, One Penns Way, New Castle DE.

The company name issueing the check was Latham & Watkins LLP
555 West Fifth Street, Suite 800, Los Angeles CA 90013.

When I called the guy asked if I had ever won money before and congratulated me, when I told him my husband thought it was a joke he assured me it wasn't.

He asked if I wanted it publicised or kept confidential, when I told him confidential he told me to deposit the check and call back and they would begin processing the $250,000.00.

I did not deposit the check, because I was to suspicious of everything. I got on the internet to look up the company and figured out it was all bs.

So I guess I wasn't actually ripped off but the thought of someone trying to do something so crappy really pissed me off.
