So I call the 877 number listed on a Craigslist posting about taking over monthly payments on a bank owned home with no credit check or money down...

Anchor House rep answers and does not give his name. He takes my name, number and email address so he can "send me a receipt" after the $199 transaction is complete...

I ask him to email me some literature on the company before I decide to give him my credit card number. He says they don't have any. Hmmm....very interesting!

The rep tells me that the $199 registration fee is fully refundable to me but I'm still not convinced. I ask if they have a website and he tells me that it's only for members but I can check it out if I keep him on the phone...

I proceed to tell him that I will check it out first and call him back because I'm not comfortable giving my credit card number over the phone. He hangs up on me before I even finish...

I google "Anchor House Financial" and find a victim report posted on ripoffreport.com...

I call Anchor House back and rep answers still not giving his name. I ask why he hung up on me when I wouldn't give him my credit card number and why there's a report against them on this website...

The rep starts stumbling and I inform him that I will file a report as well. He tells me to go ahead because they "have 5 out of 5 customers..." He doesn't finish but instead goes into infantile gibberish; "blah blah blah, goo goo, gee gee, ga ga!"

I start laughing and hang up. Give them a call at 1-877-712-4464. See how far you can get without giving them a credit card number. It's a great game to play with your friends or at a party.

Anchor House Financial is a real opportunity

AUTHOR: Becca805 - (U.S.A.)

First off, since I work there and here everyone in the room we start out by telling you our name. Our data base is real and my husband and I are using it to find our own home. I know it is updated all the time because I see the reports that come in every day. I tired of of seeing postings that are fake- I know they are fake because we all answer the phone starting with our name- this our competitor posting fake complaints - why do you have so much time on your hands ?? Email me and I will respond the service is real and works -we not claim to be in contact with the bank and we offer everything we say we do!!

This company is no fraud!!

I registered with them about a month ago. I found their customer service department quite helpful, they handled all title searches for me, at the same time I knew from the very beginning the program was $199, they tell you that up front, they are very clear about their refund policy as well, if you are not successful, you get five letters of denial and use the program for ninety days you get a refund. What is so hard to understand about that, there is nothing free these days, not even the phone you're using to harass these people with when you suggest give them a call to mess with them.

You are childish, if you don't have $199 to invest in your possibilities of getting a home, with no risk because of a GREAT refund policy, then you have absolutely no business looking to buy a home, grow up! I am now in the process of assuming a mortgage for the third time with the assistance of this company, while you crank call businesses I'll be increasing my wealth.

Reporter exposes Anchor House

AUTHOR: Skamkilla - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2009

Read this expose of the Anchor House scam operation:
http://www.roberteringer.com/col_121308.htm

Another "get-rich-quick" ruse (in which the scam artist gets rich quick, not you) is Anchor House Financial, hiding behind ... a UPS Shop, which rents "suites" for receiving mail.

Anchor House bills itself as "pre-foreclosure experts" and purports to identify home foreclosure bargains for real-estate investors.
Punters are instructed to purchase their "Book Package" for $199 -- credit card details eased out of you and speedily processed, no refunds.

"They never sent me paperwork they said I would receive in 5-7 business days," wrote Alysia W. of San Jose, "so I contacted them and they gave me a number to another business, which gave me these services for free."

Not the kind of testimonial these alleged fraudsters post on their Web sites to lure prey.

Anchor House's mail drop in Montecito connects to Susan Quinn, who bills herself on the Internet as a Santa Barbara-area "Owner at MQ SQ Productions" -- which may exist only in her criminal mind. Ms. Quinn also claims to have majored at Santa Monica College in business marketing, though what she practices is business bilking.

Multiple posts about Anchor House on Complaints Board (a Web site) include:

"I saw the ad on Craigslist. They charged $199 to my credit card, and I have gotten no further information."

"Crooks, crooks, crooks."

The Investigator telephoned Anchor House Financial at its toll-free number, (866) 900-9684. A female answered, but refused to identity the owner, manager, or any personnel in what she pretended was a vast empire with multiple departments.

In reality, it is just a telephone, a desk and a credit-card processor. Nor would "Michelle" confirm that Anchor House connects to Susan Quinn, even though Ms. Quinn connects herself to Anchor House on www.linkedin.com. (This means they're not only crooked, but also stupid.)

The Investigator offered Anchor House the opportunity to demonstrate that their scheme is genuine. They did not call back....
