We contracted with Apollo Moving and Storage for an interstate move from NJ.  We had problems with every aspect of the move - packing, inventorying, loading, and unpacking.   With regard to packing, the movers were more interested in taking repeated long breaks than in getting their work done.  They ran out of time and took unacceptable shortcuts.  A few examples, stereo speakers and sewing machine not wrapped or boxed properly (both damaged).  Tape place sticky side down on wood furniture, resulting in stripping of the varnish upon removal.Picture frame with glass placed in box and not wrapped, then casually tossed down garage steps, resulting in glass breaking.  Toys literally tossed randomly in box from three feet away and scattered.  Several fist-sized holes placed in wall while trying to take out piano.  Dozens of boxes and large items like bikes were never listed on the inventory list.  The movers ran out of time and at the end of the day (they did not leave until 9PM)they were literally throwing loose items either directly on the truck or in open boxes which were placed on truck.  When they left, there were tape rolls in every room in the house and food and beverage containers all over the lawn.  They did not properly load or secure items in the truck.  Twice when unloading, an entire "wall" of contents from floor to ceiling came crashing forward.  The movers had to jump out of the way both times.  The driver arrived three hours late and the unloaders were more interested in taking breaks than in working.  One worker took so many breaks  that the driver got into an hour long verbal argument with him that was about to escalate into a fist fight when I intervened.  The driver then fired the worker on the spot, We had to help them unload the truck.  In the end, we ran out of time, and had to stack about 80 boxes from ceiling to floor in the garage as there was no time to take them to their proper rooms.  The movers left without taking any tape off the furniture or putting legs back on the couches.  The driver left last at 9 PM.  We thought he was going out to his truck to put some blankets away and get the paper work for us to sign, but he just drove away.  We called Apollo the next day to complain that we were not given any paperwork to sign or make notations on, and were told they would get back to us, but they never did.  Eventually, they stopped returning our calls.  It took weeks to unpack, given that we had to move all the boxes in the garage ourselves, and many boxes were mislabelled.  We found many items missing and a number of electronic items like computer and DVD player were seriously malfunctioning (before they had been in perfect working order). Many items were broken.  The insurance company needed a copy of the signed inventories at destination, which we did not have since the driver left without giving us the paperwork.  They told us to send the claim in anyway and they would see what they could do.  It took several months, only to find that they denied most of the claim, stating that no notation had been made at delivery about missing items and they would not cover electronic goods.  We called Apollo again, repeatedly.  They kept promising to look into it to see what they could do.  Eventually, they stopped returning out calls.  DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY.  OUR MOVE WAS CHARACTERIZED BY INCOMPETENCE AND NEGLIGENCE, AND HAS RESULTED IN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND HEADACHES.
