This is just a follow-up to all of the other Ripoff reports about this company. It is definitely a scam because it advertises a service to provide public records for $1 and then charges your credit card an additional $19.95. If you don't look at your account information when you are on the site, you don't know you are being charged the $19.95. They obviously hope you won't notice the $19.95 on your credit card statement also.

When you call to get a refund, they have a message that asks if you are calling for a refund of the $19.95 charge that was "clearly indicated" on the site. This is a lie that is apparently intended to make people believe that the mistake is not the company's. Then a very friendly representative takes your information and tells you that your $19.95 will be refunded. But you have to go through another process to get your $1 back. They are obviously trying to avoid complaints and hoping that people will forget the $1.

I note that in a rebuttal to one Ripoff report, the alleged owner of the company apologized and said there would be a refund. Again, obviously trying to placate the person being ripped off in an attempt to avoid further trouble.

I am going to follow up on this and see if these obvious criminals can be found and prosecuted. We need more enforcement to keep scum like this off of the internet. If you have been scammed too, report it to your state's attorney general.
