Associates of Cash Advance John, Luke, Mike, Steve.... all very American names but they have very strong Middle Eastern accent from a non existent Johnny Best Law Firm Internet Cash Advance Scam Corona, California

I got a voicemail in August at work telling me to call this person named Philix Brown back or have my attorney call because legal matters were at hand. They left the phone number 951-582-4841 and said good luck to me at the end if I did not call back. I called and it would say, "Welcome" and then hang up, or pause, or go to a mailbox that was full. Eventually after me calling several times, I got a middle eastern man that knew my social security number and my checking account number. He told me he was from Johnny Best Law Firm and that I took out a cash advance online for $300 and never paid it back.

I told him this was not true and I never got this in my account and my statements prove it. This went on through several phone calls and I did some investigating, closed my checking account and put an alert on my social security number through the credit bureaus. I filed a police report and gave them all the information I had recieved from these guys and they claimed they were familiar with this type of thing. The guy kept changing his name and pretending he was giving me to his supervisor in which it sounded like he pushed a button and handed someone the phone.

After my very many questions with the guy and calling back several times and letting him know that it's illegal for a law firm to call someone and tell them about a suit against them and that police officers (which at one point another claimed to be) do not call a suspect and warn them of their arrest in a few days. This has been going on for 2 weeks now and they are still calling me but now just harassing me since I told them I knew it was a scam. He has left many voicemails calling me names and threatening to get me fired. This is a major scam and no one owes them any money so don't fall for it. Hopefully they will eventually leave me alone, maybe if someone has a good idea.
