Big Fish Games Company automatically purchases products for customers. Seattle Washington

When a person purchases a game for the first time on Big Fish Games's website their credit card is billed a monthly fee from then on......until the person tells Big Fish to stop doing it.

The "cart" shows the price of the game you are purchasing and then underneath that, "FREE" is shown in reference to a club membership, and the subtotal under that includes only the price of the game.The box next to the "Free" game membership is already checked for the customer.

Nothing about $6.99. Nothing about any fees at all on the checkout page. In fact it says "Free" 3 times near the subtotal.

The practice of charging someone for something simply because they didn't tell you not to is one of the most absurd, unethical, and reprehensible things I have heard about.

I hold myself responsible for letting a checked box go unobserved. This sad excuse for a company will do whatever they can get away with in their own little desperate and con-artist way and I should have been more vigilant but others will hopefully hear about this company's lack of ethics and either not get scammed while purchasing games from them or that they will not let this company get any of their money at all.

Again, how can a person be charged for something only because they didn't know they had to tell someone not to charge them? I will never do business with any company that does this and I try to avoid all companies that send you their marketing garbage until you tell them you don't want them to. I mean, "just tell us to stop harrassing or charging you but until you do we will continue doing it"??
