I would STRONGLY ADVISE anyone to NEVER use Shane Weyland (Blue Ribbon Painting and Staining, Inc) for any type of work on their home ---ESPECIALLY REFINISHING A LOG HOME!!!! He has absolutely NO CLUE on how to properly refinish or restore a log home! He claims he has experience, but don't let him fool you!! He is NOT Certified or affiliated with any log home refinishing company or product line!  

He wants money up front, then doesn't show up for days to work..When he and his crew do actually come to work, they spend more time taking smoke breaks, talking on phone and texting, or just flat out take off in the middle of the day never to be seen again for the remainder of it....When you ask why he is not doing the job you are paying for, all you get are ridiculous, elaborate LIES!!!!!

It is appalling!  He never did finish the contracted job. The work that was done only resulted in costing us THOUSANDS of dollars more to complete the job. We had to hire a COMPETENT contractor to finish our home. Not only did we have to spend more money, but the amount of time that we spent redoing the horrible work that he did set us back 2 1/2 months of completing the project.
