Brookdale (alterra Senior Living) poor working conditions,ripping off seniors as well as employees Palm Coast Florida

I was an employee at brookdale senior living in palm coast florida. i had litterally been givin no orientation and was thrown into the job. i am filing this complaint because this company is awful for the senoirs they are ripping off as well as the workers!

i would work 6 days in a row without being payed overtime because they couldnt keep anyone on staff for resident care workers. they are registered as assisted living however operating as a semi nursing home!..

Us as care givers had litterally no time to take our breaks meaning we were not allowed to get our half hour break as required by the law. As care giver we not only were supposed to take care of residents but perform all house keeping and dining services...mind you we were never paid for the time worked through our breaks!

givin the fact there was simply not enough time to give our residents the care they deserved...they were paying for services they should be getting but werent.

we all would often have to stay after our shift ended off the clock and finish what needed to be done like housekeeping only to be chased down in the parking lot to be told it wasnt good enough

please do not place your loved one in this facility and lease dont work there either....
