Immediately after I purchased this lemon from Mad Motor Cars in Stuart, Fl. I notified Eddie via letter hand delivered of many problems the car had and requested they fix them under the 30 day warranty. Before I purchased the car someone had broken into it on their lot and stolen a brand new radio, which Eddie told me he would replace JUST LIKE the new one that was stolen. Additionally the brakes were grinding and after several attempts to get them to fix the brakes they finally had the front done, but as soon as I picked up the auto from the repair shop, the rear brakes were grinding and a loud POP was heard while driving like something had broken on the rear brakes. This has not been repaired to date nor did I get my new radio as promised. I was also promised wiper blades and did not get them. The car was surely a lemon!!!!and Mad Motor Cars has left me with a question of their fair business practices.

I had setup auto payments to Credit Acceptance Corp, but when they sent in their withdrawal to my bank, the bank refused it for some UNKNOWN reason, as at that time on the 3 of Dec, 2010, I had an available balance of $863.36, wherein the payment was only $296.00 and should have cleared. WITHOUT Warning this crooked finance company repoed my car for that one payment, although they did get the Jan 3 payment without a hitch.

NOW the freaking repo companyTom Eastman Enterprises in Port St. Lucie wants to charge me an additional $80.00 to get my personal property. THIS is in addition to the $325.00 repo fee Credit Acceptance is charging. ALL of these companies involved are crooks and I do NOT recommend anyone doing business with them.

Then you can serve some time when someone catches you breaking into their car!  Hopefully on videotape.

Then they might retaliate by doing some late night window breaking in your "units".

Sucker!

Stop and put some sand or metal shavings (works best) in the gas tank, oil fill, trans fill, power steering fill, and the radiator.  (Careful radiator could be hot)

Next time someone parks illegally in one of my parking lots (I have two) I'll simply follow your sage advise instead of calling for a tow truck!

Why should they have to endure a $150 tow bill when they can enjoy the thrill of paying for a complete engine and tranny replacement.

Thanks for the public service tip.

Oh, and say hello to your cousin when you see him.

Have a buddy go back and pick out a car to test drive (one of their pricier ones)

Stop and put some sand or metal shavings (works best) in the gas tank, oil fill, trans fill, power steering fill, and the radiator.  (Careful radiator could be hot)

Return the car.

Enjoy!

Priceless!

Why blame Credit Acceptance?

Sooo....
you went to used car dealer and picked out a lemon. How is that the fault of the credit agency?

You approached them and told them you had picked out a car and would they please finance it for you. They said yes.

That the car was not what you hoped it would be is not the fault of anyone except the person that picked it out for you.

In the future you should ask someone that is knowledgeabe about cars to join you so you can get a trusted, informed opinion about the car, instead fo taking your chances and then blaming the credit company when it goes wrong.

Next: YOUR bank refused to pay the finance company. That is not the fault of the finance company.

Believe it or not: there are folks out there that steal from car lots. They 'buy' a car then disappear forever.

The finance company had no way of knowing if you were one of those people so when your VERY FIRST PAYMENT was not made they did what YOU would do if it was you: they protected their interests. That is how you wound up getting repoed.

Once repoed you had to pay the Repo company for the work they did. That is fair. They have families to feed, just like you. Why should THEY pay because YOUR bank failed to make the payment that they should have.

So, let's recap: YOU picked out a lemon and YOUR bank failed to make the payment. As a result of this the RePo company did work that they deserved to be paid for.

Yet for some reason you feel this is the fault of the credit company?
